Note to self: always reload your film straight away - you never know when you’re gunna bump into Adam Sandler

Of course I asked to shoot his portrait. He obliged and patiently waited for me as I fumbled with my RZ67 and took a light reading. I clicked the shutter and nothing happened.

I had just used the last shot on some pigeons. He laughed and I apologised, quickly grabbing the other camera I had on me, I checked the number of frames I had left. Only one left and the camera wasn’t set up portraits but I thought whatever, it’s Adam Sandler. I pressed the shutter just as he stepped back to say “good luck with everything man.”

I still kinda like the photo even if it didn’t go to plan 🥸 by @seb.gardner

The atmosphere at High Lights, captured by @seb.gardner. Shot on cinestill film, Seb’s photographs reveal a different side of the site. Softening the edges, deepening the light, and finding new textures and details in the landscape.

“This project had me drawn to perspectives that juxtapose the energy of the crowd with the stillness of the setting. Lucid Create’s made something magically futuristic to sit amongst the ancient oak trees of barking park. It was a joy to shoot” taken in Barking Park by @seb.gardner
