When I was at my sickest a few years ago, I regularly saw a Chinese doctor to help with all my symptoms. I also kept going back with the desperate hope to find an answer to all the unpleasantness I was facing. One appointment I remember I just sat down and declared to him “I’m just really sad”. My doctor was a kooky guy. He looked at me for a few seconds, then looked away in deep thought. I saw the answer arrive to him. He tuned back at me with a big grin and said “you just need to go to Asia”, and we both laughed.

Once again I am laughing because he was right.

It’s been an incredible 8 weeks in Japan. It’s a gorgeous country, full of the most beautiful people. Everyone is also FAR too cool here. I am very very grateful - and just a bit in love with it, and the rice cookers lol taken in JAPAN by @sebjohn

オーストラリア／ニュージーランドダンスシーンの第一線で活動するSebastian Geilingsによるワークショップ
＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝
山﨑広太「梅若はまだ帰らない。」＜戯曲ダンス版＞に出演する、オーストラリア出身のダンサー・振付家、セバスチャン・ゲリングスによるダンスワークショップを開催します。

セバスチャンは、ニュージーランド・スクール・オブ・ダンスでコンテンポラリーダンスを学び、New Zealand Dance Company、Footnote New Zealand Dance、Australian Dance Theatre、Lucy Guerin Incなど、オーストラリアとニュージーランドを代表するカンパニーやアーティストの作品に参加。国内外の舞台やフェスティバルで幅広く活動してきました。

山﨑広太『Fog, Nerves, Future, Ocean, Hello (echoes)』のニュージーランドツアーにも出演。近年は振付家としても活動し、身体的な強度と感情の動きをあわせ持つ作品を発表しています。2025年には、フォーク音楽、コンテンポラリーダンス、ケルト神話を組み合わせた長編作品『Mis Ó The Mountains』を共同制作し、出演も務めました。

セバスチャンの実践は、力みのない身体の使い方、身体感覚への探究、そして遊びを通して、身体が持つ可能性を引き出すことを軸としています。本ワークショップでは、これまでのダンスと創作の経験を背景に、身体の感覚に耳を澄ませながら、動きを見つけ、広げていくプロセスに取り組みます。

対象
ダンスや身体の動きを扱った経験のある方であれば、ジャンルや活動歴を問わず、どなたでもご参加いただけます。（中学生以上）

someone told me to ask the universe to reveal what it is I need to know. then Concrete Echoes appeared. this time brought forward a lot of remembering. thank you you wonderful people. And to @ta.alili for bringing us together. love is POWERFUL. I love this little life even more. I’d choose it every time x

Words are not able to hit as hard as the feelings are. Love is seeping through every cell of mine. It hurts. It’s that beautiful agony that we believe in and chase. I will never be ready to say goodbye, but as it always does, life has forced me to do so.

The inner passion just wants to tell you that you aren’t broken, and that you don’t need to blame yourself for being heavy. Energy is real, and it’s very powerful. And the environment you find yourself in can determine how bright your soul shines. Aotearoa has effortlessly reminded me of the meaning and feeling of community. It was easy, and I don’t think it should ever be hard.

I adore you all. And I am forever grateful for the love we have shared. Your smiles that I replay in my mind are enough to send me into tears . I have healed so much of myself within your company. The comedown is real. I have been on an emotional high for two months. Even a broken thumb and robbery couldn’t budge that. I have all of you to thank for that. I feel like the luckiest gal in the world. Arohanui my whanau.
