We can’t let Ford take the win this week with Bronco this and Bronco that! 😅 so here we have another gorgeous 1982 Toyota FJ40 that we just completed and delivered. After the corona lockdown it was all hands on deck to get some of our delayed projects complete and out the door. This beauty got some minor rust repair, a complete respray in the factory original beige 464, @dobinsons_dxb full suspension kit, larger BF Goodrich tires and nice simple steel wheels and the engine was refreshed with all new gaskets and seals. The interior was finished in a custom saffron brown, first time we used this colour but definately not the last and finally a super efficient Vintage Air AC system. End product is this stunning cruiser, minimal but highly functional. No matter how many of these FJ’s we do they are all somehow unique and get the same reaction every time we step back for a minute and take a look... by @sebsports

Happy Ramadan everyone. Even-though this wasn’t a full build or restoration, the FJ45 Troopy soft top we put together is just too cool not to share. We received a pretty nice condition hard top troopy which we then converted to soft top with very hard to find original parts, we added a modern AC and went through the car mechanically and made some changes to improve the drive-ability. The client threw us a curve ball and said he didn’t want windows in the sides of the top since it’s rolled up most of the time anyways, we weren’t sure at first but when we finally received it and put it together we were blown away by how great it looked, subtle but a definite eye catcher. Completed beginning 2019. by @sebsports

The Land Rover has such significance historically as it made up such an important part of life in the United Arab Emirates, the place we call home. This beautiful 1971 Series IIA is as old as the nation itself, when we found it, it was in rough shape and had lived a hard life in the mountains of Ras Al Khaimah. We knew that it was going to take a lot of work but the significance of finding a vehicle as old as the country itself made it worthwhile. She underwent an extensive bare metal restoration, has been centre stage at shows and even played a small part in the release of the new Land Rover Defender. Iconic car. In 2018 we completed this fantastically functional 1980 Land Cruiser FJ40. Painted in the gorgeous beige 416, with subtle, no nonsense modifications done throughout the vehicle, this car was really built to be used. Body off, stripped down and completely rebuilt with a 2.5 inch TJM suspension kit, Bilstein Shocks, Orion 4:1 low ratio heavy duty transfer case, powerful custom AC system and a killer sound system. This car really gets used during the offroad season, the @thecoffeecruiser never fails to put the old girl through her paces! by @sebsports

Here’s one that’s quite a special build to us, a 1983 FJ43. Some of you might have seen it around town at car events or the desert over the last 18 months or so. Truth is this car was quite possibly some of our finest work. When we found it, it was relatively original with low mileage but had been painted badly at some point. When we bought it, it came with very interesting history, turns out it used to belong to the Ruler of Al Ain, who gave it as a gift to a close employee of his a long time ago, that gentleman passed away many years ago and we purchased the car from his family. Once we inspected it properly we decided that because of its rarity, low mileage, original condition and rich history we decided that this car would get absolutely the best of the best of everything, no expenses spared. It took us over a year just to arrange the parts from all over the world, but it was well worth it in the end. This car was in absolute showroom condition, won numerous awards at car events and is quite possibly one of the nicest FJ43’s in the world. Completed in beginning of 2018 by @sebsports

Hows this for a pretty looking land cruiser? This 1969 FJ40 was oldest one we had the chance of restoring at our shop. It was a solid rust free car to start with, but it had been painted badly by a previous owner and our customer wanted to change from the red colour it was before. Body came off, went through a lot of the mechanicals, relocated the fuel tank to outside the cabin, added a modern AC, radio and independent front seats instead of the old bench seat and finished it in this gorgeous original nebula green paint. Lovely car to drive considering she’s over 50 years old, the Japanese engineers at Toyota really got it right with the FJ40! Completed end of 2017 by @sebsports

Some say it has a face only a mother could love! Whether you think they’re ugly or beautiful, you can be certain that the character of the Toyota Land Cruiser FJ55 gets that second look every time. We had the pleasure of owning this beautiful 1979 model in 2017, she only had 77,000 kms from new, so didn’t need much, interior was original and perfect, she got an exterior body restoration, as well as a comprehensive mechanical checkup and parts replacement. We couldn’t find ourselves able to put this one up for sale immediately, so ended up enjoying it for the whole winter of 2017/2018. We went on many desert and camping trips all over the region, she never missed a beat and with the original AC was actually more comfortable than many newer cars. This FJ55 went to Europe where she’s enjoying the easy life. by @sebsports

The unicorn, never did we come across a nicer specimen than this all original low mileage 1987 FJ62 that we had the pleasure of owning in 2017. We spent a little time restoring and rebuilding some of the systems and putting it back to original with new parts. We went through all the mechanicals, rubber seals, interior deep cleanup, new original exhaust and some body trim parts and finished it off with a new set of original steel wheels and original style tires. The original paint and decals were in phenomenal condition so was just polished up carefully. We managed to get a few off-road trips to Oman in for “testing” purposes and we fell in love. The true one that got away, perhaps one day she’ll be back in our stable. by @sebsports
