Out in the fields 🌾

Trying to capture some of the glorious summer evening light with a new travel-sized lens. Hope it will make me take my camera with me more often!

🚉 Recently had the pleasure of revisiting one of my favourite railway stations of all time: Budapest Keleti.

From there I took the train to Vienna. Loved the food in the restaurant car! 😋

Earlier this spring, I took the Regiojet night train from ever-shimmering Prague all the way to Košice, at the far eastern edge of Slovakia.

It’s not the most luxurious ride, but for the price? Surprisingly solid.

You can now read the full story of my journey on @nightride_com ✌️

🍺 Soon the classic Czech restaurant cars on the Eurocity trains between Berlin and Prague reach the end of the line. They will be replaced by much simpler bistro cars. I used my current trip to Europe for one last supper.

✨ For one week, this winter finally gave us what we had been waiting for: A touch of snow, sunny days and beautiful pastel skies in the evening.

My first attempt at a little more deliberate photography 📸

Climbed up to my favourite viewpoint @vanhalinna during golden hour, hoping for the clouds to disappear. It was freezing cold up there, but luckily I had some coffee with me.

📸 One of my 2025 goals: Become a better photographer, and, more importantly, enjoy the process of shooting and editing more.

After years of using a bridge camera, mostly in automatic mode, I got myself my first 'proper' camera with interchangable lenses. Not the latest and greatest, but I hope a solid platform to learn and grow on.

As the weather has been terrible, here are a few snapshots from my home. Loving the experience so far!

In early November, when autumn and winter shook hands, I went on a short trip to Liesjärvi National Park. Little did I know that two months later, we would still be waiting for the 'real' winter to arrive.
