Can you guess which town this is? Gothic spires, quiet cobbled streets, and a cathedral that catches the morning light just right. After rolling in on an overnight train, you step straight into a car-free old town that feels like a secret — no crowds, just charm. And the best part? This underrated spot is the perfect base for trips into the High Tatras: jagged peaks, mirror-like lakes, and some of the best hiking in Central Europe. This is: Košice, Slovakia. Sleep your way here on @regiojet’s night train from Prague — clean couchette, smooth ride, and coffee served just as the sun rose over the Hornád River. And prices come at a steal of only €38 for a shared couchette.

🌞 Thanks for the inspiration @sebwilken 🙌🏼 "Since I moved to Turku I wanted to cycle the Archipelago Trail. On a beautiful day in mid-July the time had finally come. On the menu was only the "small" trail (pieni rengastie/lilla ringvägen), but still. I went counterclockwise, that means first to Naantali and then to the islands Luonnonmaa, Otava, Airismaa and Aaslaluoto. With each island the landscape became more beautiful, but also more hilly. Pretty much exactly halfway through the journey the crossing with the M/S Östern to Nagu was scheduled. One hour, accompanied by "kahvi ja pulla", we went through the archipelago sea - maybe the most beautiful bike tour break I ever had. In Nagu it was very crowded, so I went on immediately. The next part of the route was on a quite busy road. Not very pleasant to be honest. But after the short crossing to Pargas there was a cycle track again and I cycled comfortably back to Turku. In the end it was 110 bike kilometers with a surprising 1000 meters of altitude." Vielä ehtii jakaa oman pyöräretkitarinan mikäli siltä tuntuu - pistä viestiä! ✌🏼 #pyöräily #pyörämatkailu #pyöräretkeily #pyöräretki #saaristonrengastie #turku
