Welcome to Secondhand Mage books!

For those who don't know, "Mage" is a shorthand way of referencing a magician or wizard, and since I sell used books I have dubbed my book peddling (ad)venture "Secondhand Mage" books!

I have always had a love for books and want to share that love with others! I specialize in Fantasy and Science Fiction, but offer a variety of others, and would love to get the right book into your hands!

I sell used books through an online marketplace called @pangobooks and have a live show once a week on an app called @whatnot .

I started selling used books online at the beginning of 2025, and have been dreaming of sharing my passion for fantasy locally. Currently I participate in local markets throughout the year to showcase my used books from fantasy, sci-fi, classics, romance, YA, Christian fiction, and more!

This platform will be used for all things books with promotions for my store, local pop-ups, and a whole host of bookish content such as "movie adaptations that are better than the books," "best video game novels," and more.

I am excited to connect with everyone here and talk all things books!

To Green Angel Tower by @realtadwilliams (@dawbooks )
5⭐

This book as series were amazing! It took me a while to get through this one, mainly because it was insanely long, but I loved it!

The depth of this book and how all of the plot and characters threads came together at the end was masterful. The conclusion and entire book was extremely satisfying.

My one minor criticism would be that I feel some things could have been revealed earlier throughout book 3 or more context clues could have been given. I feel many series struggle with balancing the ending.

Overall, incredible work and trilogy and I look forward to reading more Tad Williams.

If this haul taught me anything, it's that more people need to read Richard K. Morgan.

Sometimes my office looks like this because I get too many books 🤷🏻‍♂️

Check out my shop to help me clean it up 🤣

I sell Pango and Whatnot, but find me on Vinted now where shipping is $1 or less currently! I have much less listed there currently, but I am working on building it up.

What did you all pick up this week?
