An offering born from an inner longing and desire for more rest, connection, creativity and togetherness.

In a world that moves real fast, slowing down and caring for ourselves can feel like a radical act. We all know there’s something really strong about women coming together, supporting one another and remembering the power of sisterhood.

Some of my deepest transformations have happened in the circle. Through being witnessed, understood and held. Through sharing the stories, grief, joy and a deeply soothing remembering that we are not alone.

I long for more of this in my world. Spaces where we can soften, play, express ourselves and simply be. Be held and taken care of.

And so, A Sanctuary by the River is born. A space for the seekers, the sensitive ones, the wild ones, the longing hearts.

An intimate gathering woven with authentic connection, creativity, ritual, nature and a little magic.

Our first gathering: A Threshold of Samhain, honours our ancestors, the shifting season and what we are ready to release.

I can’t wait to open our home and welcome you into this space. To share the medicine of the land, warmth, stories, nourishing food and the simple beauty of togetherness.

Moving through a powerful threshold, an initiation into the 33rd year of my life via the portal of Autumn Equinox & Full Moon.

This strong combo has activated a BURN, an awakening from the trance and right into the truth. An exorcism, warding off the darkness, reconnecting with the deep ancient power and inner knowing.

A time of humility and asking for help. Receiving so much wisdom, love and care from all the sisters, the brothers and the mothers.

Welcoming new members into our family - the guardians of the house, the living spells (!).

Stepping deeper into myself, into devotion, into my sacred union and into our family.

This birthday has gifted me with a huge variety of powerful gifts.

Spells of protection, a spirit of love, guardians of the house, community, beauty, care and self care.

Whispering prayers into the mist of ancient interconnectedness...

Resting back into my throne, rekindling relationship with safety, activating my intuitive power.

Life is abundant and rich of teachings and journeys.

Thank you for your kind and generous loving wishes and travelling around the sun with me once more.

If you know us, you know that what we love most is creating cosy spaces, making yummy food, playing good music, moving and genuinely connecting with other humans.

Since our first co-creation together, which took place on the 28th of January 2024 - a lot has changed, a lot has moved in and through us.

And we moved, we moved on, we moved out and we moved away. With the intention to consciously choose and create a healthy, nourishing, nurturing life. With a dream to build community of kind and caring humans.

What stayed is the sweet hearts that followed along and supported us and celebrated our love as we celebrated their journeys.

We create spaces for connection, within oneself and with the other.

On September 19th we have celebrated our birthdays (!) in kind of a metaphorical way. We celebrated the birthing of something precious to us - locally, just a few minutes around the corner from our new home.

And what was the most precious about it, together with all those who participated - we co-created a temporary world of magic.

It took some time and trust, some uneasiness and courage. But at the end of it, we were back in a circle, with lots of small tiny transformations and sparks of connection, care, seeing and being seen.

It meant SO MUCH TO US that our community travelled to support us and that our new connections trusted to take a leap and join us in our new beginning.

The intention was to create a space for connections old and new to come together and connect and celebrate and have fun!

And so my heart is so full to have witnessed the magic work its way again.

We received so much love and care and support and beautiful thoughtful gifts! Feeling so humbled and truly grateful.

For the first time since we moved - I felt like there’s a space of belonging, care and trust.

Thank you so so much for coming to support us, for trusting us, for loving us, for being brave to show up and to stay present with what unfolds.

We are really excited and slowly starting to plan another adventure!

More magic, more collaboration and togetherness very soon!

PART III

How quickly it all passed. Like a dream…

After so much preparation, visioning and creation, suddenly we were just there.

We all JOURNEYED, and were m o v e d, and came out with a tiny gift, that has been left as a sweet moment, a memory, a feeling, a deep appreciation and an energetic thread, that connects us all, deeply tucked in the tiny pocket of our hearts.

We have opened an ultimate PORTAL and it felt special to share it with all the contexts of our lives. It was really meaningful to show up and to be seen in our most up-to-date selves. We both been through a lot transformation and shedding individually and together.

I feel THE MOST grateful to have experienced this co-creation with my most important people. This choice of celebrating and reinventing what a Union Ritual can really be, has been the utmost meaningful experience and created the most precious memory that I will cherish and celebrate till the end of my days.

I am humbled and in my power at the same time. I am brought to my knees and to my heart.

This has been the most powerful ritual that has shaken the deepest parts of my psyche as well as awakened and rewired some of our ancestral lines.

And so we feel it deeply. We are and still will be integrating it all for days, as it has been a multilayered experiential shift of our beings.

A marriage is a process. And we will keep on journeying and learning and celebrating and choosing each other and our love for our village.

PART II
To witness everybody involved, working together, cooking, organising, hosting Lithuanian rituals, families and friends collaborating to bring our vision to life. Co-creating, having fun, getting to know each other, creating BEAUTY.

We were floating on a cloud of love, with glistening eyes and smiles in a unified field of togetherness. Sam and I wouldn’t be who we are without these helping hands and energies that held and supported us.

To be together, to play, to create, to laugh, to PROCESSION through the rain, to ritual together, to FEAST TOGETHER and to CELEBRATE.

I felt held so gently and cared for. I took it in so DEEPLY, breathing it into my being to never lose those memories and feelings of gratitude.

As our Ceremony started, the elements of the land blessed us with rain! Yeah, an outdoor wedding in the rain (!), that happened. We journeyed barefoot through the fields and hills, like one tribe.

Throughout our wedding day we sang Sutartinės. These ancient songs, carried by our loved ones’ voices through the Welsh land, felt very special.

We connected with our ancestors in an ancient stone circle, journeyed to the sacred spring to be cleansed and release what stood in the way of love, then up the hill to vision our future by offering fire salt, before our Ceremony Arch, built from fallen oaks of an ancient woodland.

Our Ceremony was inspired by Lithuanian pagan and Celtic ways of getting united. We were married by our beautiful friends. And the sun came out as we told each other “I do”. It felt like we were united, tied together, hand fasted by the whole village. A village of precious beings, animate and inanimate.

Afterwards we were gifted with a beautiful and DELICIOUS FEAST, full of deep care. Then into our magical cabin by the lake, where our fairy friends made sure sound, beauty and cosiness were just the way we love.

Sam and I performed as a gift honouring the union of our ancestral lines. We DJd, danced and floated around and the fire was burning as we opened an ultimate PORTAL.

We danced till the Solstice Sun blessed us with its presence and kissed us all on our cheeks. Our hearts were wide open and full.

PART I
Let me tell you about the most beautiful experience of my life so far: getting married to the love of my life!

I believe our ancestors helped us find each other, because they knew, together we’ll alchemise some lineage pain and turn it into love and they knew our love will carry into the world and reach other hearts and help them turn inward towards themselves and start the journey of self-love.

We always knew each other energetically, feelingly, deeply.
And as the clock hit 30 on my timeline and Saturn returned, I journeyed through the portal of the Serpent Kingdom to rebirth into openness and expansion towards my sweetest love.

Our togetherness has always been guided by intentionality: Nature as the Great guide, Wheel of the year, our Land, Ancestors and Creation. We invented our own Art of Living, Loving, Being, Healing, Believing, Holding and Hosting.

Neither of us were planning to get married, and yet once we reunited in this lifetime, it was super clear: we wanted to celebrate our union in a ritual, surrounded by our loved ones.

And so the process began. Two Spring Equinoxes celebrated our love in levels of its unravelling, first with the intention, then the engagement. And of course, we’d ask our union to be blessed by the Summer Solstice energy. Nature present with all its vitality, vibrancy and magic.

Our celebration would take place in the hills of Wales, the most beautiful, love-infused land, deeply loved and cared for by my beloved’s family.

Our DREAM was to celebrate in a co-created manner. Instead of gifts, our loved ones were invited to weave their magic into our week of togetherness. And so they travelled from far and wide with their precious bags of magic and skill.

As our send-off into marriage, we had our women’s and men’s circles. Calm moments of care and pause.

Two families, two cultures, two ancestral lineages preparing to come together.

Adventuring to the raw sacredness. Only as everything is stripped away and some discomfort is endured, a gate of transcendence is open. Almost like cells are regenerating themselves back into harmony. Because at the raw encounter with nature, something primal is awakened and soothed.

Communing with the guardians of the land by allowing ourselves to become very sensitive and perceptive so we can FEEL our way through.

Honouring lifegiving waterfall, a sacred stream - gushing through the harsh rock, warming up by the sacred fire, tending it with most care and respect, being welcomed by the red deer and its gorgeous antlers and a barn owl, the quitest circler right above our heads. Our path
ending up at the eerie cemetery in the valley of the night. A metaphor along many others.

I think that by observing nature we deepen our connection with her. And it is very much a relationship. She communicates and responds. She gets closer and let’s you see her better. She honours human sensitivity.

And how does one stay sensitive and safe in this world? By being in touch and having a healthy relationship with their power.
One has to be strong to be sensitive in this world and vice versa. by @secret_lowlands

To a relationship.

To a love that binds, a love that catches you unaware and sweeps you far away.

That finds you as you fall, and brings you back to life.

Once there was this love, the impossible love, the deepest of knowings and closest of choosings.

This love that is its own.

This love for you and me.

Almost three years ago now, I didn't know what love was for me. I knew it existed somewhere in the world, I just didn't love myself enough to think I deserved it. Then, as I was starting to find myself again, this love found me too.
This kind of love that finds you when you're not looking for it, it catches you mid-fall, and somehow brings you back to life instead of breaking you further; and then it keeps growing, and exploring, and exploding out into the world.
This is the beginning of that story, and it's a really important one to share.

Ecstatic abundance, explosion of colours and aromas at our magical garden. A spiritual transmission of love from those that came before us. Every time a new blossom opens up, I can feel the care and the love from the people that lived here before. A huge gift, a privilege and responsibility to continue this precious relationship. 💙 by @secret_lowlands
