I happened to be outside when our rafter of neighborhood turkeys were strolling down the lane towards the main road farther down the hill. There were several others outside the frame of my photo. I ran inside to grab my phone so this is a rather hasty photo.

Sunday morning hike. This is another vein of the Ridgeline trails that run through the hills and valleys of where we are; this part of the trail is closest to our house. #morning #hike #happysunday #oregon #fall by @secretspicekitchen

Reflections and reflecting … a mirror image of the dining room projected on to the darkened windows at night. (The bar in the foreground is within the room.)
Yesterday was Jeff’s birthday: neither of us are birthday people, but we do use the day as a time to pause and reflect. And we both commented on the image of the room projected on to the night as we were having our celebration dinner …

Very relaxed Sunday …
This is the view from the deck just outside the great room, looking down on the deck just outside the front doors. There are multiple-level decks on three sides of the house, so it feels like living in a treehouse…

Our Norway Maple is the first tree (it’s still a sapling really) in our garden to take on fall color. We have several other maples, different varieties, but they remain green still … (The locals tell us the fall show begins around mid-October 😌)

Late summer corn was still plentiful at the farmers market this morning, but I suspect it will be gone soon.
We’ve been getting some every Saturday, consequently I’ve had to get creative with how I use it. Made succotash my way; substituted Edemame for the traditional Lima beans…

Trimming the currant bushes that have gotten tangled into everything around it … and there was an empty vase in the dining room 😌

We had our first real rains yesterday and it is supposed to continue for a few days.
As I did my morning walk around, the forest that surrounds us seems happy😌
Is that a touch of fall color I see starting …
