into the end zone. Over streaky and splattery orange, yellow, and white background, a big Monarch Butterfly takes up most of the page with both wings out. Dark brown letters with a yellow outline read, “Seguimos Aquí”. by @oxilleryrecordings

“An Insult to Life Itself” - Hayao Miyazaki Saturated, grainy, and lush oranges provide the backdrop for a thin but doubled brush stroke black text that reads “‘An insult to life itself’” at the top right of the square image. Front and center are big block letters in black but also grainy with faded, illegible text that almost looks carved in nto the big noisy slabs that put the letters together. At the bottom, crediting the quote from above, it n the same style, reads, “- Hayao Miyazaki by @oxilleryrecordings

What is the Fourth of July? (Or Independence Day was Never Independence Day for Me) - revised text

I shared the video on its own and wanted to follow up with the most recent edit of the text, which, to me, really brings the piece home. The video edit is the same version as the one shared a couple days back. Still from the opening of the video of this poem, performed live several years ago. The still is full of green from trees in the background with See More in a white shirt performing on a stage at a park in Saint Anthony Park. Behind the video frame is a larger backdrop of a design of the USA flag drenched in red with little explosions happening where the stars are. by @oxilleryrecordings

There is no room for such blatant and militant…self defense. Saturated, noisy, deep blue gradient photo design of art paper with frenetic lines encroaching from beyond the margins except the bottom, where it seems they’re kind of pointed. Down the middle in big, quick hand style letters read, “There is no room for such blatant and militant” - and in much smaller letters at the bottom, “self defense”. by @oxilleryrecordings

Art-a-Whirling tonight (Friday) through Sunday in the SEIU room at the Thorp Building. If you’re out and about, swing by and say hi! Tons of art prints and designs plus some rarefied merch. A print export file for 13x19 art prints. There’s an image of a painting full of brown and gold monarch butterflies, a photo design of Dandelions in a field from a low point of view with a big brooding sky in the background with graffiti lettering that reads, “…but we are dandelions, and we are everywhere”, a dark purply and blueish water color of a stylized Frankenstein drawing, and a lush green background under a hand drawn Sheikah eye with tear from the Zelda video games with the words, “Link for the win” and “banana boys bonk it again” at the top and bottom of the image, respectively. by @oxilleryrecordings
