Live from Saint Anthony Park a few years back or so. I’ve touched up the poem since and will be sharing that soon as well.

Me and @mr_seemore wrote a song over the beat from that scene in Andor where Mon Mothma is spinning around.

As always, it isn’t just about easy references. This writing is meaningful to me, and I hope you’ll check it out - especially if you liked #Andor. Let’s keep making art that is venomous.

The original track is “Niamos! (Morlana Club Mix)” by Nicholas Britell. Video editing by SEE MORE PERSPECTIVE.

Three interrelated musical acts—SEE MORE PERSPECTIVE, SkySpiders and the Imperceptible Web, and Secret Rivers—united by the notion of art, culture, and shit-talking as critical elements of the movement ecosystem. Shifting from folk, to Hip Hop, to spoken word, and beyond, all three acts are anchored by SEE MORE PERSPECTIVE’s live production wizardry on the MPC and Loop Station 505.

Hiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!!!!!!!!H

From a solidarity love story between hiphop and folk music comes Sky Spiders & the Imperceptible Web to haunt you with raging poetry, dreamy vocals and infectiously danceable apocalyptic beats. SkySpiders combine the styles and approaches of solo artists Kat Parent and SEE MORE PERSPECTIVE to embark on a musical journey through a lush, acapella acoustic electronica mashup of influences over a groovy boom bap foundation. See More’s (he/they) poetry and rap shimmer with fierce Xicane mysticism and nerdy joy. Kat Parent (they/she) bends old folk forms into subversive queer storytelling and juicy harmonies. Together, they are Sky Spiders and the Imperceptible Web, soaring the electronic airwaves with throbbing beats, eerie vocals and salient, heartfelt lyrics.

Cleaned up and stickered this road case today. Everything about this case has been filled with story & love.

The woman I bought it from on FB marketplace months back used to gig all the time and occasionally brought it as a carry-on for air travel, as the homemade measurements were made to meet some of those requirements.

She played some similar instruments as me (clarinet, uke, various electric and percussive things). And was curbing down on possessions while she moved through various stages of emotions & acceptance of her current stage of brain cancer.

We exchanged some of our art, story and ourselves when I went to scoop this up. Prior to picking it up we ended up talking for nearly an hour on the phone & I feel so lucky to have been able to connect with her.

The padding on the inside is deteriorating a little and she recommended adding a plastic layer. I vacuumed it up a bit today, covered the inside with plastic, and made it smell like oranges (had a lil odor to it before so I've been giving it time to air out prior to this afternoon). Took soap & a rag to the exterior, and covered it with stickies that I want to be more permanently with me than if I put them on a vehicle, phone or laptop. Finally placing stickers I have been hanging onto for a while felt really cathartic.

There's a 2 on the front and on the top of the case, which is my lucky number. Finding a case that was within budget, my favorite color, the perfect shape for what I was looking for & with my lucky number on it from such a beautiful human to continue out its life & take it on a new set of adventures feels sort of meant to be. The right energies coming together or some darn good luck.

The stickers I placed on the top feel like good reminders as I scoop it up to lug it around. "Carry Yourself with the Confidence of a Mediocre White Man," is what I'll see as I pick up the handle every time. As well as "Finish What You Start, Human!" And "Every Day is a Revolution."

Do you spy with your lil eye a sticker you recognize here!? 👀

I'll have stickers for sale at the upcoming @goosecircus show on Monday at @bentpaddlebeer if you need some Jess art for someplace special, too. :)
