Sunshowers Abound ☀️🌧️ by @seecaines

2025 was an involuntarily difficult year for me (And 2026 so far… yeesh🙃). Somehow though, opt-ing in to do hard things makes me feel better.

This fall/winter I took down 4 full marathons in Omaha, Indianapolis, Biloxi, and Houston in 15 weeks, and I managed 3 PRs totaling over 10 minutes in the process. I probably won’t do this intensity of races so close together again. But wow, what a fulfilling stretch to explore and learn what I’m capable of accomplishing.

I’m really taken and humbled by the idea that we don’t know how many races or PRs we get to have. And, I have every intention of making the most of every at bat I get in this slice of the simulation.

Anyway! 15 states into my 50 state race goal, I maintain that 1- This is an unnecessarily hard bit I’ve chosen to do 🤪 and 2- This is such a fascinating way to see the country at a moment of tremendous transition and fissure. There is so much work to be done, in every sense of things. Onwards! 🏃🏾‍♂️ by @seecaines
