Bittersweet today: we’re officially closing Seed At The Table.

We launched this platform with a simple but radical mission—to close the access gap in private markets and prove that underrepresented founders and investors belong at the table. Since 2020, our vision was clear: to create an equitable table where everyone was welcome—no matter their education, experiences, or balance sheet.

We were one of just 60 FINRA-approved platforms in the country, and the only one explicitly built to provide a seat for diverse founders to raise capital while allowing investors of all financial sizes to participate. Together, we built more than a platform: we built a community, a playbook, and a credential for what’s possible.
Because of this community:
✨ Founders raised real capital and scaled their businesses.
✨ Black women founders reached milestones few in the country have achieved.
✨ Thousands of first-time investors were educated and empowered.
✨ A network of board members, advisors, and operators stepped into deal rooms that had never been this inclusive.
While the platform sunsets, the legacy lives on in every founder you fund, every deal you join, every board seat you take. You carry this forward.

I want to pause to say thank you: to Shaquinta (onboarding), Suzen (legal), Edmund (technology), and Darius (marketing). To our Seed family members who invested to build this platform and who took late-night calls from me and from founders—Reggie, Morgan, and so many more—to help scale businesses and offerings. None of this was possible without you.

Zombies are companies that, while they haven’t failed outright or shut down, continue to limp along—locking up investor capital without providing opportunities for gains or write-offs.

1. Investors should expect more tempered historical revenue growth for deals launching in 2024-2025.
2. There aren’t more profitable companies launching in 2023-2024 compared to 2021-2022.
