Last year @julieogriffith invited me to speak on a panel entitled the Power to Pivot! I was speaking to an amazing group of women, but I was also preaching to myself. There is power in a woman giving herself permission to change her mind, choose differently, and build a life that fits who she is now. Make the pivot, Take the leap of faith! #corporatecreator #careeradvice #womenincorporate #womeninpolitics #womensupportwomen

💛This picture from night one of the Millie CEO Summit will always mean the world to me. This was the first person I really spoke to after arriving and she blessed me so much each day after that. The way she spoke life into my vision in just a few cursory conversations during the course of a 4-day conference....whew! Crossing paths with this woman brought to life some ideas in me that answered a lot of questions I had had trouble answering. Her words were bolstered by seeing my own in print in @queencitynerve . She helped me bring back the feeling and activate the passion. Her words are helping me make the most of my website hiatus. ✨I'll be truly locking in and tapping in with myself and my family during this period. I'll be more intentional during this time as well. I'm focused on our necessary growth heading into 2025. And that means expanding in ways that require focus and grounding to stay authentic. That authenticity is what my customers value most. Thank you Corinne for reminding me of that. 🍋I appreciate the battery this beautiful woman has helped put in my back. She is the true definition of a Growth & Innovation Strategist. She really meets you where you are and helps you make your dream and vision a reality. I'm such a dreamer and she definitely helped me realize my dream is feasible. Like I want to do with my business and my brand can actually happen. 🩷Between @corinnethemillennial , @iambobbyrobinson , @marcusdbenjamin , @diondrelewis , and everyone else who spoke at @millieceo ....my entrepreneur soul was fulfilled and refreshed. I'm just so grateful for Corinne and everyone else. Those 4 days were truly transformational. 💖So thank you to @thebrycestudio for this picture. It will live on as a reminder of a time I felt my life shift. Thank you for using your gift and skill to capture something that turned into a significant moment in my life.

Do y’all ever get put on the spot? 🤔 Yes? No? ..Well I 👋🏿do all the time. Here is a clip of me on stage at “The Gathering Spot,” pitching our testimony about Black Coffee, Raising Capital, Scaling and SUCCEEDING to a crowd of over 500 people …in less than 1 minute 😉 For those of you who’ve been in similar situations. I’m curious to know if y’all forget your notes and just start freestyle like I often do. 😂 ..well here is the actual pitch I planned to give down below, not the one I delivered ✌🏾 “Greetings family, my name is Jamin Butler. I am accompanied by my wife Ayron, together we serve as the CEO and the COO of The Black Coffee company. @blkcoffeeco We are so proud to gather here today with all these amazing Entrepreneurs. The Gathering Spot @atlgathers is the premiere space for small business owners to connect and scale. Our family run small MBE certified business offers responsibly sourced and direct-trade coffees from all over the world. Our premium coffee, delicious food, and original lattes are only the beginning, we believe in building partnerships and relationships to empower communities.  Today we are here representing “Seed at the Table” a mission-driven equity crowdfunding platform committed to connecting diverse entrepreneurs with non-accredited investors. @seedatthetable To put it simply, Seed At The Table helped us achieve great success this past January, aas we raised over $136K during our round 6 crowd funding capital campaign. We have leveraged this capital to continue scaling our business; producing our 3rd annual Black Coffee Fest on JUNETEENTH, to growing our teams in Houston, Los Angeles, and the DMV area. I’m very excited to announce that this Friday we will be opening our second coffee shop in Atlanta, GA, on the prestigious campus of Morehouse College. We invite the entire community to join the celebration at 11 AM this Friday, August 30.” I hit a couple of these points, but ultimately just spoke from the heart. Curious to know how y’all deal with uncomfortable situations that could lead to great success. Let me know in the comments.
