Human Trafficking is one of the world’s fastest growing criminal enterprises. It’s modern day slavery that profits from exploiting the world’s most vulnerable.

Don’t think human trafficking is happening where you live? Think again. The detective I talked with told me it’s in every county in WI. If it’s here I’m willing to say it’s also where you live.

Here are 4 ways to STOP human trafficking in your community:
1. Get involved with kids in your community who are at risk for being trafficked.

2. Volunteer. 77% of kids in the foster system will be trafficked. Be their safe space.

3. Educate your kids and others you know about the dangers of putting too much information on social media. Predators often meet their next victim on social.

4. Keep your eyes open all the time. If you see something, say something. When a situation doesn’t feel right, call your local police and just tell them what you saw.

@seladesigns created the Built on Christ Bracelet with our longtime partners @phyliciamasonheimer and @everywomanatheologian.

It’s a piece that connects women across three countries. The custom tags create living-wage work for women rebuilding their lives in Southeast Asia. Small town USA is where you’ll find us day in and day out!

Our studio is based in Neenah, WI. From here we do all of the finishing work on necklaces that are beaded in the Dominican Republic, all of the customized pieces, anything leather, and a handful of other pieces. This is also where everything ships from.

In addition to employing survivors in Southeast Asia and the DR, we are working to expand our impact in our own community by providing meaningful jobs & a mentoring program here.
