Read the caption ‼️—Heres a photo of me when I was going through what felt like the worst times of my life. I was depressed; in an abusive situation, and “my best friend” was getting more and more distant as the days went on. I was drunk every chance I got, on the outside you would have never thought i was falling apart, but I was. I didn’t want to live anymore, i felt so alone, and like the person I was with was the only kind of love I deserved bc they had broken me down to the point where I didn’t even know who I was anymore. I started this page bc the abusive situation I was in was making me feel like I wanted to die, my family & I weren’t on good terms, and my only outlet was this page. I felt like I could really help others maybe leave their situation or see it may not be easy to leave but you have people who are willing to support you. Be there for you and help you build yourself back up. This post is for anyone whos been on the verge of giving up but didn’t. I am here with you. And I am so proud of you. I am so happy you choose YOU. I’m happy you’re seeing and reading this to know you are not alone. Everyday is battle, but I can’t give up on myself bc that would mean I gave up on my sunflowers too. We’re in this together, please remember my DMs are open for anyone who may need to vent, talk, needs advice & we can work through it all TOGETHER!! 🌻

& this is why we don’t give up. When depressed it’s important you spend the time practicing self care, positive self talk, & doing or eating things that comfort you. Treat yourself the same way you’d treat yourself if you had a cold, or a stomach flu. You need the right combination of rest, care & compassion to help you recover. Take care of yourself sunflowers & you’ll find your way back to you.

August dump.
Spent the month soaking in every last moment I had spending each day with my babygirl before I go back to work. A big adjustment for me because I’m nervous about leaving my girl 😩 nevertheless I’m extremely excited about getting back to work so I can feel like a human again. Being a mother is so special, but the hard days are HARD, & tbh I struggled so much trying to find myself again after having my baby. I still find myself on most days accepting and adjusting to this “new me”.

I thought I had to sacrifice my career but quickly realized my career isn’t over, my career goals needed to be adjusted to fit my new life as a mother. All that to say, everything happens for a reason: to lead you where you are meant to be not where you want to be, & I couldn’t be happier. Shoutout my village for the never ending support & keeping my head above the water. Shoutout my man @kronicgangniceeyez for allowing me to have so much time at home with our girl. I’m so blessed and so excited to see what the remainder of the month will bring.

Wishing you all a wonderful, blessed and productive month ahead ❤️

June dump 💙🧡
Witnessed the @nyknicks win the NBA finals for the first time in 53 years. The energy was unreal and i’ll never forget that feeling in that moment as we realized we won, hugging strangers and feeling disbelief we just witnessed history. Shoutout @kronicgangniceeyez for convincing me to go into the city lol
Created some great memories with the people I love, watched my youngest cousin graduate high school 🥹, celebrated my grandma’s & @brianna__yannucci birthdays, & my babygurrrll turned 7 months 💕 cannot believe we’re flying through the summer & its just 6 days away from seeing @arianagrande live 😩

As promised, dairy free mac n cheese w/ truffle infused oil 😋
I used the following ingredients:
-1 garlic head
-1 shallot
-Truffle infused olive oil
-Extra virgin olive oil
-King Arthur’s All Purpose Flour (2 tbsp)
-Dairy free @countrycrock butter (2 tbsp)
-Cheese for the roux: @violife_foods cheddar, mozzarella & smoked gouda
-Cheese for the topping: @violife_foods cheddar & @daiyafoods Italian blend
-1 1/2 cups of pasta
-Seasonings used for the roux: Himalayan pink salt, black & white pepper, roasted garlic, paprika, pinch of garlic & a little turmeric (for color)
-Parsley used for garnish

Hey insta friends & family, I was selected amongst many other chefs to participate in the @favchef competition & I’ve made it to the top 20!
Here’s where I need y’all help ‼️
Now that I’ve made it to the top 20, I have to now make it to the top 15, then top 10, then top 5, which leads to the winner being selected based on who has the most votes. May was a month filled of many mixed emotions. While there were so many beautiful moments like getting our daughter baptized, celebrating her 6 month, my moms birthday, my first official mother’s day, the knicks won the ECF, I got a new car, saw Don Toliver; we also unexpectedly loss our cat Tink then a week later lost my dog Lulu. Grieving our two beautiful fur babies Lulu & Tink has been difficult to say the least. Words can’t express how painful it’s been without them. We miss them so much.
June is not just a new month, it marks the first full month of our new normal living day to day without Tink & Lulu 🥺 I know our fur babies are running around, pain free, and i’m so happy they both at least got to meet our babygirl. It feels surreal June is here already, wishing you all a month of blessings and love. 🙏🏽
