Process Manual #17:
Selfish Teammate Album Art (2025)
Inkjet Prints, Thermal Paper Prints, Found Source Material
18.5 x 26

Selfish Teammate have become some of my favorite co-conspirators in the past year - in addition to working on this album cover for their release last year, I’ve made a shirt and a (soon-to-be released) music video with them. Me and Lou are constantly talking about horses in the zeitgeist, and were workshopping this idea even before we knew the year of the horse was forthcoming.

This piece came together quickly using thermal printers to distort found images and scans of frames manually collaged together.
It’s one of 26 pieces I have up at This and That through the end of the month showing processes of various design commissions on some original work.

The opening reception is this Saturday, September 12th from 6-9 with a performance by Itch Princess and vinyl selections by my buddy Dan Cool!

On September 27th, I’ll be doing an artist talk with a Q+A followed by the closing reception with a performance by ST and DJ Kurt Ruslin on the decks. taken in This and That by @selfishteammate

Some additional resources:

Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota can be reached at (651) 641-1011 for intake on Mondays 2pm-4pm and Thursday 1pm-3pm if you or a loved one has been detained.

The American Immigration Lawyer Association. You can enter the type of lawyer you’re looking for (“detained immigrants” is an option), and enter your zip code, and it will show you nearby practicing lawyers and their contact information.
https://ailalawyer.com/

This Immigrant Advocates Network legal directory will show you local networks and clinics that provide immigration related services and their contact information.
https://www.immigrationadvocates.org/legaldirectory/search?zip=55404&x=21&y=10

You can request legal services from the ACLU MN. This would most likely be if you’d like to take something like “unlawful detention” or other constitutional violations to court. aclu-mn.org/request-legal-assistance/

Not all lawyers practice immigration law, and not all immigration lawyers may be able to help with the specific service you need. If you have been charged while protesting, you will most likely want to reach out to a criminal defense attorney. The legal system is slow and tedious, and uses words like ‘detention’ instead of ‘abduction’. Oftentimes organizations that try to do good within the legal system, like the Nat’l Lawyers Guild, are bogged down by the sheer amount of cases. I am not a lawyer. This is research, and comes from my own experience navigating the legal system. by @selfishteammate

Some immediate thoughts on You Can See Everything (after I made these memes)
* Great movie for foot fetishists- Liz’s dogs are constantly out
* Liz Holmes as it currently stands is just the shape of a woman; there is no correct understanding of her or “real” person and the doc knows the former
* I know there is a camp of thought that Nathan Fielder is cruel or self-centered but I find great depths of care within this doc
* There is something spiritually linking YCSE and Secret Lives of Mormon Wives?? The Meta-modernism; comfortable living with cameras on you at all times, knowing the aim is rubbernecking. And also that they do have something to gain from how the camera does or does not perceive them (socially and monetarily, both of which grant autonomy) by @selfishteammate

A great big rock concert is heading YOUR way (if you live in Saint Paul). Look at these bands. Look!

New Confusion, Prick, and Selfish Teammate all rip and they're gonna do it at this show with us, Glurge. It's a dream come true!

Proceeds will go to Artists Unite for Palestine! Talk to our drummer Jessica about getting involved! Free Palestine!

WE WENT TO CHICAGO AND BLEW UP

We’re safe and all our gear is fine xx
EDIT: We made it home just fine. RIP to Allie’s Camry who died like she lived, carrying two insane lesbians to and from gigs. We don’t know why the car caught on fire but guesses are the engine and it probably didn’t help that we were listening to Nirvana for easily an hour straight by @selfishteammate

It’s true let’s do 312 X X X X
Made a little digital collage to celebrate ST being Chicago bound this weekend 🪢

Swipe to see some source material. God bless the actual 2010s zine Chicago IRL! And god bless the girls who used tart cards- which were the main inspo and designs I lifted to make our flier.

Full Moon. Back to the beginning. Restless and tired. It’s always like a ratchet baby, back and forth. I took a night swim and was worried a guy with a headlamp was a cop; when I got to shore and apologized he said “that’s ok, I stopped because I wasn’t sure if you were real”
