Had the pleasure to check out @caffeandco_ and their new summer menu items which are perfect for the hot weather that’s coming 😎. They have wide variety of sweet treats, pastries, fruit juices and smoothies which all tasted refreshing and amazing!! For their savoury food we opted to try their Mediterranean breakfast and Lamb Kofta wraps which had a nice balance of spices and pickled veggies. Their summer juice blends were also perfectly refreshing for the hot day we went on. They have both indoor and outdoor seating options depending on what you feel like as well. Conveniently located in Mt Druitt Westfields, definitely worth to come and try for your next cafe feed!!

🌊 LUMI DINING REVIEW 🌊

Have been seeing this place advertised all over social media for a long time and reading nothing but amazing (unsponsored) reviews, and can confirm it lives up to the hype. Situated on its own separate block down by Pyrmont bay wharfs, @lumidining offers some of the most amazing views with their experience. This is also another venue where the plating was precise and sometimes too gorgeous to eat and the flavours never missed as each dish progressed. Their tables and seating are also super spacious and comfortable their drinks are super refreshing.

@lumidining has an open kitchen style restaurant where you can see the chefs cooking and preparing everything, and the service was also amazing. All in all, vibes ✅, flavour ✅, presentation ✅, seating comfort ✅, service ✅, views ✅!!!!

Although it is on the pricier side, it is a fine dining experience and well worth the money spent, so definitely worth it for a special occasion!!

🌟 10/10 - Aesthetics, taste, ambiance; very close to being my favourite dining restaurant

LUMI TASTING MENU - $265pp

🍷 THE DINING ROOM BY JAMES VILES REVIEW🍷

Got to try @thediningroombyjamesviles for a birthday celebration and absolutely loved the experience!! The restaurant is situated in @parkhyattsydney, and faces Sydney harbour so you can see the Opera House depending on where you’re sitting in the venue. We got to try their tasting menu which was flavourful and gorgeously plated (I loved their rustic plates and lowkey wanted to take them home 😂)

For starters they also had chicken skin butter on bread which was quite unique, we thought the flavour was strange at first but I really liked it as I ate more and more.

Their tasting menu is their signature menu and changes depending in the event or seasonal produce available. The last 3 courses were my favourite dishes from the one I tried!!

🌟 8.5/10 - Would definitely come back; loved the day dining experience!!

TASTING MENU - $185pp

🇦🇺 SIXPENNY REVIEW 🇦🇺

Bit delayed on my reviews, but I have recently unearthed my new favourite fine dining restaurant 🥹 Came to try @sixpenny_au to celebrate a friend’s 50th and my god was I impressed. We had our own private dining area which was nice and the service was amazing and professional. All the dishes we tried were plated so beautifully and with extreme detail and all tasted AMAZING! The produce also tasted extremely fresh and it was my first time doing a wine pairing which I loved (and I usually don’t drink wine). They give 3hrs for their dining experience which I loved because I hate being rushed during meals and long awaited catch ups.
At the end of the meal they provide you with the menu of everything they served including the wine pairings (which means they cater it uniquely to what you order on the day). I don’t think there was one dish I didn’t enjoy during this tasting and definitely left very full. It is definitely a luxe experience, but was worth every penny in my opinion ☺️

🌟 11/10 - My favourite fine dining venue to date!!

🎸 PEPITO’S REVIEW 🎸

Absolutely loved the retro rock vibe of this venue! They had some really nice wine and their roast potatoes were BOMB 🔥

We got to try their set menu which overall was a bit too sour or tart for my liking, but I have a really low sour tolerance so if you like sour things this menu would be bomb for you. Their bao buns were also super flavourful and delicious, the pork belly was my favourite!!
Definitely would recommend it’s worth a try, very good value for money!!

SET MENU - $79pp

🌟 7/10 - Would go back for their A la carte menu / late night drinks (they close at 11pm)

🐟 Tiradito de Conchas:
Scallop sashimi, radish, verde leche de tigre, chili crumb
🍤 Leche de Tigre Especial

🇫🇷 ARMORICA REVIEW 🇫🇷

Got to try this lovely French restaurant for my birthday this year. Absolutely loved the vibe and layout of the venue, and I really enjoyed the drinks I got. The crowd favourite was the Escargot garlic bread and I quite enjoyed the Mafaldine pasta starter. The oysters were also super fresh and delicious. The tiramisu was also to die for, just a shame they were sold out of their original dark chocolate block cake; although the white chocolate block cake was also still pretty good. The other dishes were all a bit too salty for my liking otherwise.

🌟7/10 - I would go back again for my favourites

🦪 Oysters
🐮 Angus beef tartare
🦀 Spanner crab cakes
🐟 Market fish tartare
🍝 Mafaldine pasta with pork neck ragout
🍞 Escargot garlic bread
🥩 Flat iron & sirloin steaks
🧱 Chocolate bar Blanche
☕️ Tiramisu
🍮 Vanilla creme brulee with raspberry sorbet

🥥 YAN RESTAURANT REVIEW 🥥

Always had the place on my “to try” list and finally got to go for @yoyoeatsss birthday and boy is this place underrated. Local to Wolli Creek @yanrestaurant is a smokehouse type restaurant that cooks all their meat to perfection!! All the meat we tried were so tender, juicy and full of flavour. Anyone who knows me also knows I hate coconut milk, but their coconut ice cream was an actual winner!! Everything we tried we all enjoyed!! If only I lived closer to the area, but would definitely go back here!

When the sun and puppers were all paid actors on the day, it would be a waste not to utilise them 😁🫶🏻 I won’t ever say no to a doggy date if I can help it!! This place actually had some of the best croffles I have tried in a while. Our favourites were definitely the furikake and brown sugar ice cream and cheese; very unique flavour combos that I haven’t seen anywhere else.

Thank you to @littlemissfion and @yoyoeatsss for bringing your babies along 🥰🐶

🍣 SUSHI E REVIEW 🍣

Had a very belated birthday celebration at Sushi E which I was very keen to try based on all the reviews. We got the Prestige menu with a few starter add ons and let me tell you, I was so full after the entire course. There were a lot more dishes from the set menu but the 10 carousel post on IG be making things difficult 😂 I was also very keen to try the omakase menu but unfortunately they don’t have it anymore with no mention if it’s coming back on their website. Still had some favourites of the night so check out the ✅ below. The menu is quite pricey at over $200 pp which I thought was a bit much considering you can get similar menus elsewhere for cheaper. They do offer a cheaper set menu but you need a minimum of 4 people to be dining which we didn’t satisfy the criteria. Probably wouldn’t return for their set menus but if their omakase menu returns I’m still eager to try that.

Got to try this absolute gem of a restaurant to celebrate a besties birthday. My friend and I absolutely loved the atmosphere of this restaurant and all the food as well. We ended up getting the Shared banquet menu ($110pp) and added 4 extra starters on top which were all so delicious. Definitely check out which dishes win my ✅ of approval 👀 I would definitely come back to Ora to celebrate a special occasion!! They also had a bartender roulette drink selection on the cocktail menu which essentially lets the bartender decide on a random off menu drink for you to get. Each time you order you will get a completely different drink, which I thought was such a cute and clever concept. The drinks still tasted amazing 😍🤤

Definitely was a fan of the food and vibes here! Although it was a struggle to find the hidden entrance door, but the interior decor was elite. My friends and I really enjoyed our time here and all the food we tried as well!! Keep an eye out for the ✅ for the reorders / must try 👀. Definitely on the list for returns in the future.

Crowd favourite all round!! All the girls enjoyed the feed and ambiance here. All the food on the raw menu was delicious especially the sauces, all of them full of flavour!! Main favourites were definitely the eye fillet and pork belly ssam; would definitely get them again. We got our own private dining booth which still had a view of the restaurant which was nice and cosy as well. The only downside I would say is that the pricing is a bit on the expensive side and the dish that we were the most excited about trying was a bit disappointing (chicken liver skewers) but otherwise a very nice eat!
