My second S.E. Lynes book after The Baby Shower, and once again, what a wild ride!!! 🤯
I honestly had no idea where this book was going. It was fast-paced, gripping, and took a completely different turn that I absolutely did not see coming. And this book has to have one of the most unhinged FMCs I’ve ever read about! 👀

The drama starts right away and hooks you in from the beginning, constantly making you question who you can trust. It was dark, twisty and such a great popcorn thriller! An easy-to-follow read that kept me turning the pages and hooked until the very end. A solid 4 stars! 🤍✨📚

Well what an absolute JOY that was. And what a privilege to be part of the inaugural #eastbournelitfest … brilliantly organised, we were warmly welcomed from the start by organisers, volunteers and attendees alike. Special thanks to @janebranson and @jane_midwinter for their hard hard work and to my fabulous panelists @lisatimoneywrites @sarahyarwoodlovett and @emmacurtisauthor … who gave such fun, informative and entertaining answers to the thorny question of how psychological crime fiction messes with our sense of reality. Today I returned to @rhacc_college where I taught creative writing for ten years to meet with some much loved old students who are still in a writing group after all these years. One of them, Wendy, had published her memoir. I always loved hearing her read from it in class, was delighted to receive a copy and very moved to find myself in the acknowledgements. Good to go indeed. While one book goes out on Netgalley for review, another begins. If this seems relentless, it isn’t. I’ve had most of August off and the last couple of weeks knocking a new synopsis into shape. I love the thought of this new story and am excited to start. And yes I have spent most of the morning procrastinating but now it’s time to find my one true sentence. And add another. And another. #WIP #letsdothis #newwork by @selynesauthor
