Has to be one of my all time favourite Dorset churches St. Mary's, Tarrant Crawford.. You can just make out the Medieval wall paintings on the left hand side and yes of course survived The Reformation, remarkable!! Now in the hands of the Churches Conservation Trust..
It has an isolated feel to this remote church, tucked away up an old track beside the corn field.
But without doubt a strong sense of nostalgia. I always buy one of their booklets to read upon it's interesting history..
Beside what once was the abbey, now practically none existent. If in the area I would most certainly recommend a visit to this iconic place of worship. by @senseandnobility

A morning of nostalgia ..
Stepping foot over centuries, parts of Dean Court House go as far back as early as the 8th century!!
The current owners are happy living in their families home for over 500 years of generations!

What's so nice some of the rooms remain as they were of years gone by and the grounds equally as beautiful alongside the River Allen.

No stop, was as nice as finishing in the cafe after the last of the seasons tour ..
Thankyou Sir William and Lady Ali Hanham for sharing your home for us to enjoy a slice of Wimborne history!

Some places are really lost in time ..
You find yourself stepping back to how life would have been, yet still this place produces it's own ground millstoned flour!
Why not enjoy things of times gone by...

Not something I would normally post, but all too often I find myself thinking of my resting place in years to come ..
Here is a place so dear to me after many a drive out in the beautiful English countryside that I come and find pure peace and solitude, blissful!
Sit outside on its bench and take in its breathtaking views! I would be more than happy to call it my next home and be in the next best thing to heaven, that if my children wish to visit me they could see just why I loved it so much!
I don't see it as morbid, merely life's beautiful journey ... Chalbury Church, Dorset. by @senseandnobility

There are certain moments in time that I stop and pause and say to myself just how beautiful that is .. Human nature and wildlife capture that very essence, for its there you find solace away from all the crowds and noise of everyday life.... by @senseandnobility
