My Village that raised this lil Black girl from Detroit! 🖤
I will always be overwhelmed with how 100+ beautiful humans from ages 4-92 showed up, in theme, to celebrate this new milestone for me marrying the man of God's promise and my dreams. 💍
Folks from my childhood church, my sorors, my mom's work and dance crew, my new BIG family, my girls that came in from Atl, NYC, Indy, Ohio, and the west coast (best coast) bringing the California Love! ✈
This was the Bridal Shower that I never knew needed to exist and the crew of Black Women vendors was the cherry on top: @chimzifashion, @trufacebygrace, DJ, caterer, photographer, bartender, desserts, and shea butter favors. 🍒
It's giving Asé. It's giving Joy. It's giving Unity. It's giving Sisterhood. It's giving Legacy. 💞

Year Three: The Year of Strength.
Year Two: The Year of Submission.
Year One: The Year of the Best Friend.

People talk about the early years being the honeymoon phase, but reaching this side of marriage feels like what we signed up for.

Amongst all of our huge life quakes, I prayed for stability, and step by step, we built it: restarting our businesses, an MBA graduation, a promotion to Director, and filling our home with loved ones.
Thank you for enduring with me and stepping into this powerful season where we can pour back into others and help them stay the course.

Had the opportunity to capture @senseijas bringing the energy while teaching her line dance class at @mcc_okinawa 🔥💃🏾 And what made it even better this was her first time teaching a class in both Japanese AND English, and she absolutely killed it! 🇯🇵🔥

The energy was there, everybody was moving, and it was dope seeing everyone come together, learn the moves, and catch the vibe regardless of language.

Big shoutout to @reesebsmooth for putting the event together and @fullcafe.chateau for hosting 🙌🏾

Even though this is my 18th AKA Founders’ Day, it feels like I’m celebrating for the very first time! 💕💚
Since joining @okinawaakas my heart for service has found a true home. Whether I’m balancing the books as Treasurer, leading the "Build Our Economic Wealth" committee, bringing in new members, or getting us in formation as the in-house choreographer, every moment is a joy.
Shoutout to my 15 sisters—our award-winning chapter is living proof that quality always beats quantity. I love you all so much! 😘🤏🏽
