POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I made this video from a year’s worth of moments from our yard and street in Old North Durham (with the addition of my hometown’s annual angel lights). I hope you enjoy watching the seasons change here as we have.

A lot of star footage from night rider @killerkerm, who moves next week - thank you for all our sweet mems, and letting me share a few here. And thanks @delicategogurt for the special final cameo, 2020-style applause as the last memento of an exlove burns on our backyard fire.

Maybe this is the year I move.

The song appears on The Clamplamp Parade, which you can listen to and/or download thru the bio link.

Thanks for listening, watching, or reading. Sending lots of love from NC. - autumn by @septoctnov

Phuzz Phest is coming to @Still.Grimey! 👖😎🧢 Join us Saturday, April 11 for a night of dreamy keyboard bliss with @JonathancKirby and Moon Racer (@septoctnov), and maybe pick up some new threads while you’re at it. Single day, 2-day and 3-day tickets are on sale now at PhuzzPhest.com

“Kirby’s own music often sounds like it could be some dusty private press situation: vintage drum machines, analog synths, homespun vibes… Safe To Disconnect is an extremely sweet collection of instrumentals, dreamlike zones to soundtrack your days and nights.” – Aquarium Drunkard

Moon Racer’s Autumn E. creates fuzzy keyboard pop songs in her bedroom in Durham, NC, leaning heavily on vintage Casios and Tascam 4-track cassette recorder. The Fader describes her music as a “dream-like exercise in mood and melody, a droopy-eyed blur of percussive loops, delicate vocals, and light tape hiss.” taken in Winston-Salem, North Carolina by @septoctnov

I didn’t put it together the other week when 2016 was trending but I realized the first Moon Racer shows happened in 2016. Here are some pics of the very first one, October 2016 at the Carrack (rip), at WXDU around then, and where I lived at that time.

(Thought about a longer post to reflect on those days, but looking in a 2016-17 hard drive to retrieve these pics was basically me living the interstellar tesseract meme, no more reflecting plz, I’ve had enough jump scares to last another decade 😇)

Anyway all this is to remind you I’m playing Thursday @the_pinhook with @advance_base and @moontypo. It’s gonna be a good show. Hope to see you friends, thanks for being there all these years 💜

🍂 THIS SATURDAY in CARRBORO 🍂 Schooner 20th anniversary release show with Summer Set and Moon Racer. 🍁 An album so beloved the cd insert is long gone, probably from being pinned up on my dorm room bulletin board. @schoonermusic released You Forget About Your Heart 20 years ago, at the peak of my formative years in Chapel Hill. Here are a couple of photos from that time — a 2004-style selfie in my smashed dorm mirror and a view from my bedroom window that summer. This cd lived in the stereo of my Saturn. I am so, so excited to hear all these songs again. Come share the memories with us. by @septoctnov

So excited that my favorite, @dearnorareality is playing a very rare Raleigh show and I get to open 🥲 This one’s gonna be really special because 1) Dear Nora is the best 2) this is maybe the third time they have played in NC in like 20 years but also what is time. Anyway it’s going to be a chill evening with some chill tunes by two chill solo people. I hope you can come chill with us. Here are some bonus desert twilight pics from over the years for all the fellow desert enthusiasts 🌄
