Phuzz Phest is coming to @Still.Grimey! 👖😎🧢 Join us Saturday, April 11 for a night of dreamy keyboard bliss with @JonathancKirby and Moon Racer (@septoctnov), and maybe pick up some new threads while you’re at it. Single day, 2-day and 3-day tickets are on sale now at PhuzzPhest.com

“Kirby’s own music often sounds like it could be some dusty private press situation: vintage drum machines, analog synths, homespun vibes… Safe To Disconnect is an extremely sweet collection of instrumentals, dreamlike zones to soundtrack your days and nights.” – Aquarium Drunkard

Moon Racer’s Autumn E. creates fuzzy keyboard pop songs in her bedroom in Durham, NC, leaning heavily on vintage Casios and Tascam 4-track cassette recorder. The Fader describes her music as a “dream-like exercise in mood and melody, a droopy-eyed blur of percussive loops, delicate vocals, and light tape hiss.”

Hi, it's me, Owen from Advance Base. Did you know that I run a record label called @orindalrecords? The label is named after Orinda, California, the east bay town where my mom & dad grew up. September 6 is the 14th anniversary of Orindal's first release, a split 7" by Advance Base & my brother Gordon's electro-acoustic drone project, Concern. Since then, Orindal has released another eighty-six records, tapes or CDs by some of my favorite musicians in the world (nearly thirty different bands or solo artists in total) & we're still going.

To celebrate Orindal Records' 14th anniversary, I'm offering a 20% discount on every item for sale at orindal.com when you use the discount code OWENSENTME. The sale will continue until the end of September.

Thank you for your support!

✨Show Announcement!✨

On Thursday, December 12th, we hope you will join us for a night of deeply introspective, lo-fi sounds as @advance_base takes the stage for his Horrible Occurrences album release and Christmas tour. Known for crafting melancholy soft rock with warmth and a sense of nostalgia, Owen Ashworth’s music explores quiet, emotional depths. Using vintage keyboards, drum machines, and his resonant baritone, Advance Base captures everyday stories and familiar characters in ways that are both haunting and tender—a style often compared to the introspective work of Youth Lagoon and Perfume Genius.

Featuring:

Moon Racer (Durham, NC)
Taking her name from the winged lion who rules over the Island of Misfit Toys, @septoctnov creates an intimate, nostalgic world with fuzzy keyboard pop that feels like reading a secret diary. Her lo-fi sound, built with vintage Casios and a 4-track cassette recorder, spins stories of love and loss into melancholic, melodic spells. Her recent album, Is it Really a Secret?, chronicles a year of emotions in hazy, heartfelt layers, inviting listeners to lose themselves in a journey that’s both tender and deeply personal.

Kill the Buddha (Greensboro, NC)
Inspired by Zen Mind, Beginner’s Mind, @kill_thebuddha channels indie and folk influences into a raw, unpolished experience that invites listeners to let go of perfection and embrace the present moment. Each performance is a beautifully immersive and intimate journey through sound. Led by vocalist and guitarist Lenwood Edwards, Jr., the band includes Daniel Sheffield (drums), Nick Van Buskirk (bass), Gabi Walden (guitar), and Greer Gehrken (vocals, shruti).

📅 Thursday, Dec 12 | Doors at 7pm | $12

Stay tuned for more details and be sure to save the date 🖤
