💚World Mental Health Day 2026 | Diwrnod Iechyd Meddwl y Byd 2026 🌍

Mental health affects us all, and no one should struggle in silence. Sometimes, a simple conversation or a small act of kindness can make a real difference.

Let’s look out for each other, spread kindness and remind everyone that no one has to face their struggles alone.

Mae iechyd meddwl yn effeithio ar bob unohonom, ac ni ddylai neb orfod dioddef yn dawel bach. Weithiau, gall sgwrs syml neu weithred fach o garedigrwydd wneud gwahaniaeth mawr.

Gadewch inni ofalu am ein gilydd, lledaenu caredigrwydd ac atgoffa pawb nad oes rhaid i neb wynebu eu hanawsterau ar eu pennau eu hunain.

A very proud and humbling moment for me on Monday - honoured to be appointed President of @tonpentreafc ❤️🖤

To be given the opportunity to take on this role at a club with such a proud history, strong identity and such deep roots within the community is an incredible privilege.

Grassroots football is as much about what happens on the pitch as it is about the people, friendships, families, volunteers, supporters and the community coming together. This is what makes clubs like Ton Pentre so special.

I’m incredibly proud to now be part of the Ton Pentre family. I’ll cherish the role and I look forward to supporting the club in every way I can.

⚽️❤️🖤Thank you to everyone at Ton Pentre FC for this privilege.

🌼🖤🌼⚽️🌼❤️🌼

Moment hynod falch i mi ddydd Llun – anrhydedd go iawn yw cael fy mhenodi’n Llywydd Clwb Pêl-droed Ton Pentre ❤️🖤

Mae cael y cyfle i ymgymryd â’r rôl hon mewn clwb sydd â hanes mor falch, hunaniaeth mor gryf a gwreiddiau mor ddwfn yn y gymuned yn fraint anhygoel.

Mae pêl-droed ar lawr gwlad yn plethu’r hyn sy’n digwydd ar y cae gyda cyfeillgarwch, teuluoedd, gwirfoddolwyr, cefnogwyr a’r gymuned. Dyna sy’n gwneud clybiau fel Ton Pentre mor arbennig.

Rwy’n hynod falch o fod bellach yn rhan o deulu Ton Pentre. Byddaf yn trysori’r rôl hon ac edrychaf ymlaen at gefnogi’r clwb ym mhob ffordd y gallaf.

⚽️❤️🖤Diolch i bawb yng Nghlwb Pêl-droed Ton Pentre am y fraint hon. by @sera_plaid

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿Tonight, the Senedd voted in favour of fair funding for Wales.

For too long, Wales has been shortchanged by Westminster.

Wales should not be left at the whims of Whitehall. We need a fairer fiscal framework that gives Wales the certainty, control and resources to invest in our communities and deliver on our ambitions for the future.

🌼🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🌼🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🌼

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿Heno, pleidleisiodd y Senedd o blaid cyllid teg i Gymru.

Am gyfnod rhy hir, mae Cymru wedi cael ei thanariannu gan San Steffan.

Ni ddylai Cymru gael ei gadael ar drugaredd Whitehall. Mae angen fframwaith cyllidol tecach arnom sy’n rhoi sicrwydd, rheolaeth ac adnoddau i Gymru fuddsoddi yn ein cymunedau a gwireddu ein huchelgeisiau ar gyfer y dyfodol. by @sera_plaid

On World Teachers’ Day, I had the privilege of visiting Hendreforgan Primary School and meeting the Headteacher, Alex Pugsley. The school has been on a transformational journey over the last few years and it was fantastic to hear of the innovative practice that the staff have implemented from attendance incentives, to approaches to self-evaluation, and from parent and carer engagement to community partnership working. We also discussed the importance of cluster learning and the school has welcomed the Welsh Government’s Foundational Literacy and Numeracy Plan.

Diolch, Alex for an excellent discussion and tour of the school.

Happy World Teachers’ Day to those who transform pupils’ lives through education and learning everyday.

Ar Ddiwrnod Athrawon y Byd, cefais y fraint o ymweld ag Ysgol Gynradd Hendreforgan a chwrdd â’r Pennaeth, Alex Pugsley. Mae’r ysgol wedi bod ar daith drawsnewidiol dros y blynyddoedd diwethaf, ac roedd yn wych clywed am yr arferion arloesol y mae’r staff wedi’u rhoi ar waith – o gymhellion presenoldeb, i ddulliau o hunanwerthuso, ac o ymgysylltu â rhieni a gofalwyr, i weithio mewn partneriaeth â’r gymuned. Buom hefyd yn trafod pwysigrwydd dysgu ar lefel clwstwr, ac mae’r ysgol wedi croesawu Cynllun Llythrennedd a Rhifedd Sylfaenol Llywodraeth Cymru.

Diolch, Alex, am drafodaeth a thaith ardderchog o’r ysgol.

Diwrnod Athrawon y Byd hapus i bawb sy’n trawsnewid bywydau disgyblion drwy addysg a dysgu bob dydd.

Yesterday, I attended a fantastic inaugural Aquathlon organised by @sharks_masters alongside @plaidcymruwales Councillor, Danny Grehan. A huge well done to all competitors and the organisers for a smashing event which attracted people from far and wide! The atmosphere was fantastic and all competitors crossed the finish line with a smile. Looking forward to more events in the future!

Ddoe, mynychais aquathlon cyntaf gwych wedi’i drefnu gan Tonyrefail Shark Masters gyda’r Cynghorydd Plaid Cymru Danny Grehan. Llongyfarchiadau mawr i’r holl gystadleuwyr a’r trefnwyr am ddigwyddiad arbennig a ddenodd bobl o bell ac agos! Roedd yr awyrgylch yn wych a rhedodd yr holl gystadleuwyr dros y llinell derfyn gyda gwên. Edrych ymlaen at ragor o ddigwyddiadau yn y dyfodol! by @sera_plaid

This Wednesday was International Day of Older Persons, and I used the opportunity in the chamber to pay tribute to the fantastic community spaces and organisations across the constituency that do so much to help older people overcome isolation and loneliness. These vital places are made possible by the dedication of so many fantastic people. Thank you to every one of you for the work you do to bring people together, build community and support older residents.

🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼

Yn gynharach yr wythnos hon roedd Diwrnod Rhyngwladol Pobl Hŷn, a defnyddiais y cyfle yn y Siambr i dalu teyrnged i’r mannau cymunedol a’r sefydliadau gwych ledled yr etholaeth sy’n gwneud cymaint i helpu pobl hŷn i oresgyn unigrwydd ac ynysigrwydd. Mae’r mannau hanfodol hyn yn bodoli diolch i ymroddiad cymaint o bobl wych. Diolch i bob un ohonoch am y gwaith rydych yn ei wneud i ddod â phobl ynghyd, meithrin cymuned a chefnogi pobl hŷn yn ein cymunedau.
