SERATO ANIMATO x ANIMEST 2026 🇷🇴

A little recap of our time at @animest.ro in Bucharest!

Huge thanks to the festival, to @pepe.llucidus and @helgatol for having @nespy5euro and @scarichetti , and above all to all the filmmakers who trusted us with their work and became part of this special screening! 🖤

From short films rescued from the depths of social media to films making their way towards the Oscars… animation in all its strange, wild and wonderful forms.

Different worlds, different visions, one big screen.

Thanks for making this happen. Until the next strange encounter! 🌀

A program curated by the Italian collective @serato_animato that confronts war through experimental animation, satire, and distorted visions. Far from any heroic or comforting narrative, this selection uses animation as a space of critical resistance, where paradox becomes political language.

Because creating is still a way to resist.

La Guarimba 14th Edition will be held from 7 to 12 August in Amantea, Southern Italy, bringing the cinema back to the people. taken in Amantea by @serato_animato
