Miami Marathon…this is the 2nd time I run through your streets. This time I felt better compared to the first time, I’m sure it was a mix of the great coaching of @gabir.run plus my experience from last year that I knew what to expect and when to expect it. It was another hot South Florida morning but the humidity was in the 90’s. I hanged onto my goal until mile 17 when I felt the heat and humidity and had to listen to my body and adapt to the environmental conditions. The great part is that I not only felt stronger, more confident this time but I also did a PR…40 minutes compared to last year, and I feel that the goal I had is still there waiting for me in more favorable weather conditions. The reality is that I saw many people passing out and I didn’t want that to be me, my legs were feeling weak and cramping so I ran with a cool head and maintained control of the situation. Part of being a good runner is listening to your body and adapt, doing things intentionally and calculated, and also…running has to be FUN, so you can stick to it for the long run (pun intended).

I start all of my races with a pray, and I finish them thanking God for the opportunity and the blessing it is to be healthy and able to do this. (You can see that in the video after I pass the finish line). My philosophy with running is the same as the one I conduct my life with: “You have to pray and be thankful to God, but you have to do your work by yourself, put the effort, discipline and you’ll see the results.”

If you have a question about running in Miami next year, I’ll be more than glad to assist.

Next Marathon: My First Marathon Major!! @sydney_marathon 🇦🇺🦘🐨

Prague 2026 🇨🇿
Second time visiting and the second time I’m leaving this place wanting to return! Such a gorgeous place where we had a lot of fun and delicious food and great beer 🍻. First place in the world in per capita beer consumption. Until the next time! taken in Prague, Czech Republic by @sergiofedermd

🇩🇪Berlin Marathon 2026🇩🇪
Thinking what to write with this post, made me realize that when I look at it with the right perspective, I can realize that I just ran my 5th marathon, my second marathon major, and that I got the chance and blessing to have done it with my lovely wife, my family and friends supporting me all the way down here from Broward County. I’m always grateful that I’m not only putting in the work that has converted me into a marathoner, but also I have the chance to share these moments with people that matter, and who make this tough sport more enjoyable. Thank you coach @gabir.run for always providing the training and keeping me injury free, and to my friends and extended family at @browardrunningsociety for all the encouraging words and support during this new incredible adventure. Summer training was brutal but many of you guys helped by sharing moments, kind words, water or the silly talk and laughs that makes things more fun. I’m a happy runner and always thankful for this opportunity.

Also, during this adventure, I helped indirectly raise money and awareness supporting a great nonprofit organization that helps US Veterans. If you can and want to check what they do, visit them at @teamrwb this Navy Veteran is thankful for the cool work that they do by helping veterans who are struggling. taken in Brandenburger Tor by @sergiofedermd

Running has given me so much! I started this journey when I couldn’t even run for 1 mile without stopping. So…if you are ever considering doing something for yourself, your family and your health…just read. I started my journey when I decided that being in an unhealthy body was going to cost me my life and my family’s wellbeing sooner or later. So I started little by little, I don’t know when, but those little accomplishments: running 1 mile without stopping, then being able to run for 2 miles, 3 and so on…these brought me tears of happiness and big smiles on several occasions. Then I realized that after finishing a workout or a race, the benefits were not only physical but also it would help me mentally and then I understood that one enjoys running the most when you filter out all the noise, the comparisons, other people’s expectations and all the external superfluous things that drain the fun not only out of running but out of life as well. That’s when I understood what running was about, that’s when I fell in love with this hobbie/sport and since then I’ve ran many 5k’s, 10k’s, half marathons and tomorrow I’m running my 5th marathon. For competitive minded people like myself, it’s easy to fall in the trap of not enjoying the journey because you are so focused in the result…and this is one thing that running has helped me learn and assimilate that I’m also applying in my life…my pace is my own…my commitment and my limitations are my own…my journey is my own, and I’m fully committed to enjoy, love and live it while it lasts. Life is too short, but being surrounded by amazing people makes the journey more enjoyable. If you read all the way down here, thank you for being part of this journey. I hope that I’m able to share with you my love for this sport and that together we can keep adding miles of laughter, sweat, tears and amazing moments. taken in Berlin, Germany by @sergiofedermd

New marathon on the horizon...Berlin 🇩🇪, training has been brutally rough in the middle of this Florida summer. But I’m here showing up day in and day out to prove myself that when there’s a will, there’s a way, and because if I don’t believe in myself, nobody will.

Another week closer to Berlin 🇩🇪✈️ and another Saturday spent with my people.

Swipe to picture 3 👉 that’s 30+ years of friendship (and probably a lifetime supply of beers 🍻) staring back at you. We grew up together, made memories together, and now? Our KIDS are becoming friends too.

Full circle moments hit different. 🥹

This is what it’s all about — not just chasing dreams, but having the right people beside you while you do it.

🇪🇨🥳 taken in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania by @sergiofedermd
