Bark at the Moon ✅

My first session on this climb I nearly flashed and the. Proceeded to fall on the first move for over an hour. Luckily today was 20° cooler and I was able to get it done in just a few goes.

Stumbled upon this @rickymarine line. I maybe got the second ascent? Who knows 🤷🏽‍♂️

Out of Your League, ✅

First time in Yosemite and it was incredible. Unfortunately it was also very brief. The week was warmer than expected which meant our climbing days, the few we had, were in Tuolumne up until we had to make the decision to leave due to the sky turning red and the ash rains beginning.

This was one of the better climbs I was able to get on. Due to an unfortunate slip at the start of Black Matter earlier in the day, the entire pad of my left pinky was torn off and wouldn’t stop bleeding. This resulted in one of the more comically large tape wrappings on my left hand which made the first move pretty awkward and tricky. The top, which I should have cleaned better, was also directly in the sun and blinding to look at, was much more daunting than I was led to believe it would be and the holds were more slick and textureless in the sunshine and humidity. Fortunately I had @koch_maya below me to move pads and give excitement when I felt like vomiting at the top.

Fun one, nearly sent the sit as well but unfortunately a dry fired left me bleeding out of 2 knuckles and 3 cuticles. Next time.

Three Eyed Monster ✅

I set out to flash this thing and got very close, unfortunately I had to settle for a soft second go. Not only did I not flash, I didn’t rehearse the top just so everyone can watch me flounder through it. I did that for you.

As a side note, it’s pretty amazing to be able to go out after work and find high quality climbs 15 minutes from my door. I don’t think I’ll tire of living up here.

The Gate ✅

This thing fit my style like a glove. I got frustratingly close to sending it my first session and spent the last week debating hiking out to The Aerials on my own.
I was in good luck that @pinchmastercole isn’t easily scared away by things like “there is 1,150ft of elevation change from the parking to the boulder”, and “I think that giant lightning storm is going to stay south of us.”

Also thanks @holderclimbs for showing this thing to me, I’m a psyched to keep trying the low.
