Hey everyone, I wanted to put some context behind this track I released called Stay for a Lil

I wrote it for my father while he was on his deathbed. It’s a complicated set of feeling to think about, because as difficult as that moment was he got to hear this song. I was asking him to stay with me for a little while longer even though I knew there wasn’t much time left.

I tried to write the song in a way that didn’t make it obvious what it was really about. And honestly whenever I tell someone the story behind it they’re usually pretty surprised.

Maybe that’s what I love about music. Sometimes a song can mean something completely different on the surface while carrying something much deeper underneath.

So if you listen to Stay for a Lil now you know what it means to me. ❤️
