If we’re living only in our heads, it’s easy to get trapped in the story and in the agenda. How about instead of talking and thinking about the story, we choose to drop it.

When you drop the story, things begin to LIFT UP; you change the energy and begin to see the possibility to transcend all limitations. You fire up, and begin to see your whole life coming alive.

Let it come alive.

During the yoga practice you're able to tap into excellent innate wisdom that allows you to open the gate and let prana (energy) flow to places that have become closed off. Yoga asana allows us to access, inhabit, and open different areas of our body, which in turn opens our energetic body and mind.

[SOUND ON] swipe ! Nature, asana practice, community, shaking and dance, food, dharma talks, unwinding music sessions, and rest (with sound meditation).

Retreats are such a big part of who we are. Asana Groove was born in New York in 2017 with weekend retreats in upstate NY.

Almost 10 years later, and we’re still doing them. It’s the little things (that aren’t little) that makes every one so special. by @seruel

Three days of Yin, Sound & unwinding in nature.

A beautiful time to soften, settle, and deeply recharge for the year ahead.

A true treat for body, mind, and spirit.

We leave feeling deeply nourished, connected, clear, and held in a sense of spaciousness and open-hearted presence.

A place that quietly works its magic. @ebenrieder taken in Remnatsried, Bayern, Germany by @seruel

We’re thrilled to welcome Bogdana Kosenko to the ŌHIA team as one of our new Sound Healers!

Bogdana isn’t just a gifted teacher and a wonderful human - she’s also a graduate of our Crystal Bowl Sound Teacher Training from last year, and we’re so proud to see her step into a teaching role at ŌHIA.

Here’s what she shared about her experience:

“I joined last year’s Teacher Training, not entirely sure where it would lead. I’d been deeply moved by David’s sound baths and when I saw that he and Katja were teaching, it felt like a clear yes to explore further.

The four weeks exceeded every expectation, filled with warmth, community, slowness, and exploration, it was a beautiful way to close the year. Katja and David grounded us in theory, shared best practices, and gently encouraged us to find our own style as facilitators. Somewhere in that process, I realized how much I love guiding sound baths and that I wanted to keep sharing this work.

After graduating, I bought my first set of bowls and began with private sessions for friends and family, then gradually started collaborating with studios, including ŌHIA. Like any craft, it takes time to deepen, but the training gave me exactly what I needed: tools, confidence, and a solid foundation to build on.

I would 100% recommend the Teacher Training to anyone who feels curious. Whether you plan to facilitate or simply want a meaningful personal experience - go for it!”

Our next training led by @seruel and @katjaschendel is happening this November and December and we’d love to have you join us!
