For centuries, food has been the reason people gather. 🫜🍲🫒🥘🫑🍠🍡

It's been at the centre of celebrations, milestones, Sunday lunches, weddings, birthdays and moments that become lifelong memories.

And we get it.

Because while we'll always care about the food (it should be exceptional), we know it's about so much more than what's on the plate. It's about the conversations that happen around the table. The laughter between courses. The guests asking for seconds. The moment everyone reaches for "just one more" canapé.

People rarely remember the chicken they ate. They remember how you made them feel.

That's the kind of hospitality we believe in.

Whether it's a harvest table under the trees, elegant plated dining, floating canapés or a corporate lunch, our job isn't just to serve great food, it's to create a table people don't want to leave.

Our menus begin with what is in season, ingredients at their best, plates full of colour, and food that feels right for the table it is served at.

A garden lunch for twenty, a wedding feast for one hundred, a long-table birthday dinner or something entirely your own: we build each menu around your occasion, your guest list and the way you want people to gather.

Tell us what you are celebrating, and we will start with the menu.

VENUE SPOTLIGHT | Set in Currys Post, with rolling hills, forest edges, and a manor house that gives the property a quieter kind of elegance, @weltevreden_manorkzn is the kind of wedding venue that lends itself beautifully to a celebration with a little more time in it. Its appeal lies in the calm of the setting, the elegance of the house, and the feeling that the weekend can stretch out a little rather than race by.

Ceremonies take place outdoors in the manicured gardens, where the views open across the farm hills and towards the forest beyond. From there, the reception can remain intimate within the manor itself or grow into something larger on the lawns beneath a clear marquee. That flexibility is part of what makes Weltevreden Manor so appealing. It can hold a smaller, quieter wedding just as comfortably as a fuller gathering of up to 150 guests, without losing the gentler mood of the property.

A big part of the experience is the stay. The Manor House, included in the venue hire, sleeps 14 guests, while four additional cottages sleep another 15. That allows close family and friends to stay on site, settle into the surroundings, and enjoy more than the wedding day alone.

The hospitality side matters here too. Managed by Nicky Brown and supported by @service.excellence, Weltevreden Manor places real emphasis on thoughtful planning and attentive care. Guest feedback speaks warmly about the views, the house itself, and a welcome that feels considered from the moment people arrive.

For couples drawn to a Midlands wedding venue where the setting feels calm, the house gives the weekend its centre, and the celebration has room to breathe, Weltevreden Manor is a lovely one to keep firmly in mind.
