Last week, we were joined by Breast Cancer Now for an important talk as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 💗

We learnt more about breast cancer and the signs and symptoms to look out for. A huge thank you to the Breast Cancer Now team for joining us and sharing such important information with our people.

We’ll be supporting them throughout October, including with a bake sale later this month to raise money for their work. 🧁💗

From 1 October 2026, employees have longer to bring a claim against their employer at an employment tribunal.

An employment tribunal decides disputes about employment rights, such as unfair dismissal, discrimination and unpaid wages. Until now, most claims had to be made within three months. As part of the Employment Rights Act 2025, that deadline is now six months for all types of claim. It’s an important change for both employers and employees to be aware of.

A new scheme for first-time buyers has just been announced.

The government revealed "Your First Home" at the weekend, and there's already a lot of interest in how it will work. Some of the most important details, including the income and property price limits, won't be known until the Budget next month.

There’s been a lot happening in the law lately.

The Government has announced a number of changes and plans, including new rights around bereavement leave, changes to the flexible working process and specialist courtrooms for rape and serious sexual offence cases.

The changes are expected to come into effect or be rolled out over the coming months and years.

The Setfords team take on Operation Clean Up!🧤

Last week, some of our team headed out into the local area to pick up litter and help keep our community clean and tidy.

Operation Clean Up was started by our in-house Green Team a few years ago and takes place twice a year, giving colleagues the chance to get outside, do their bit for the local area and spend some time together away from their desks.
