Music was my first language. Before I ever picked up a camera or framed a shot I was chasing the emotional rush that only a powerful song or lyric can create. Cutting straight to the soul.

And somewhere along the way, that love for music grew legs and started running straight into film. The connection between sound and image. Stories. Movement. Motion. I fell hard for storytelling. Filmmaking became a shared language. Music, culture, and community all speaking together. Cameras rolling. Ideas flowing. Everybody part of the story. I don’t do this alone. Never have.
To my wife, my anchor, my truth-teller, @the_ladydady.
To my kids, my why.
To the nimble teams who move fast and stay curious.
To the editors who find a heartbeat in the chaos.
To the colorist who paint the mood between the lines.
To every collaborator who said “let’s try” instead of “that won’t work.” This journey is built on people, on trust, on love for the craft. And we’re just getting started. So here’s to the next chapter, a little bolder, and most importantly, more HUMAN.
Let’s make some BEAUTIFUL stuff together in 2026! 🔥 edit by @tylerhboyd by @sethdady
Grateful beyond words for the opportunity to be part of @theguildconference this year, both premiering our first short film LOVE/HATE alongside our incredible team in the Artist Showcase, and in getting to lead a workshop on Filmmaking as Spiritual Formation.
I loved getting to explore how filmmaking can become a sacred act of seeing, listening, and cultivating awareness in the midst of ordinary life. Thank you to everyone who joined, listened, and shared so openly. May we continue to create from wholeness, not burnout, with eyes open to the light in ordinary things, and hearts tuned to God’s greater Story. Also, big thanks to my amazing daughter Stella, who created my slides for me. 🤠 📸: @willyp21 by @sethdady

Kingdom Gardens is a community-centered garden initiative in Raleigh, NC, rooted in the belief that healing and transformation can start with our hands in the soil. More than a place to grow food, it’s a space where people find purpose, connection, and hope. To capture this mission, we partnered with @kingdomgardensnc to create “Where Roots Run Deep”, a short branded documentary that tells the story of a garden growing far more than produce. The film brings viewers into the heart of the garden, highlighting some of the lives being impacted, the hands behind the harvest, and the legacy taking root in Raleigh. Come grow with us. by @sethdady
We have one more year of these front porch first day photos with all three. I always wonder if they’ll get tired of the tradition, but they were the ones to remind me this year 🩵 by @sethdady
• p u r a • v i d a • When Seth and I spent the latter part of our 2016 ministry sabbatical in Tamarindo, Costa Rica we knew we wanted to come back with the whole crew. Almost a decade on the making, this trip felt sacred to our fam as we’re barreling into the teen + tween season of scattered extracurricular commitments, messy life convos, learner’s permits, and an abundantly full schedule. This past week without screens and distractions, we tuned into each other and the surreal beauty around us. We surfed, wiped out, surfed some more, zip lined, found our local surf club, hiked through a volcanic rainforest to a frigid waterfall and jumped in. Woke and fell asleep to gecko chirps, howler monkeys, and tropical birds. Spent quiet mornings with a spread of tropical fruit, a living room pool, and quiet lectio divina. Feeling resistance to entering the norm again, but full of gratitude for the gifts hidden in our memories made. 📷 : @sethdady & stella dady #puravida #playatamarindocostarica #oropendolawaterfall #surfclubtamarindo by @sethdady
