Crazy to think it’s been a year already, not a day goes by that I don’t miss your laugh, your humor, your guidance, and most of all your love. You were more than my big sister, you were someone I looked up to in every season of life. Your strength, kindness, your passion, and the heart you had for others left a mark on everyone who knew you, but especially on me. I will never forget you Abby Ranae and it is my life’s purpose to live up to the expectations I know you and the lord have for me. I still catch myself wanting to call you, tell you things, or hear your advice. Being your little brother was one of the greatest gifts God ever gave me. I’m endlessly grateful for every memory, every conversation, every joke, and every moment I got to spend with you. As hard as this year has been, I’m reminded that as a Christian I don’t grieve without hope. God calls us to bring our sorrow to Him and to trust Him, and to hold onto the promise that death is not the end for those who belong to Christ. I miss you more than words can describe, but I have peace in knowing you are with the kings of kings.🙏🏼 “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18 “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7. It’s hard to put into words just how much my beautiful sister Abby meant to me, to all of us. She wasn’t just my sister she was my built in best friend, my biggest supporter, and the one person who could make me laugh until my abs were sore even when life felt impossible. Abby had a heart that radiated pure love, for our family, for people she’d just met, and most of all, for God. She was a true example of grace, faith, and kindness, always reminding me that no matter how hard life gets, God was bigger than our pain and our struggles. Abby had a gift for making people feel seen, strangers became friends in minutes around her. And let me tell you, the stories she could tell… whether we were causing absolute chaos as kids or just cracking up over absolutely nothing, she filled my life with laughter and love. I will forever admire the way she carried herself with such strength and compassion, even when she was struggling. I miss her soooo much, but I know she’s now wrapped in God’s arms, free from pain and finally at peace. Abby, thank you for shaping me into the man I am today, for being the brightest light in every room, and the best sister I could’ve ever asked for. I’ll carry your love with me forever and always.
