Three years of loving you. 🤍

Three years of memories, growing, learning, laughing until our stomachs hurt, getting through the hard days, and choosing each other over and over again. Three years of you being my best friend, my safe place, my biggest comfort, and the person I want beside me through every season of life.

Sometimes I look at you and still can’t believe I get to call you mine. I’m so incredibly grateful for the life we’ve already created together, but even more grateful knowing that this is only the beginning. Soon, I won’t just be celebrating anniversaries with you—I’ll be celebrating a lifetime with my husband.

You have loved me through every version of myself, held my hand through the uncertain moments, celebrated my happiest ones, and somehow always know how to make life feel a little lighter just by being beside me. I hope you know that I will never take that for granted.

If I could go back three years and tell the girl who was just beginning to fall in love with you what her future would look like, I don’t think she could have dreamed up anything more beautiful. I would choose you then, I choose you now, and I will choose you for every day that comes after this one.

365 days ago, my soulmate in friend form joined the angels. Abby, I hope I’m making you proud. I hope heaven understands just how rare a soul it gained, the kind made of pure love, gentle light, and unconditional grace. If I do anything meaningful in this lifetime, I hope it’s to become even half the woman you were and still are. You walked through this world with kindness, patience, and an understanding that felt like home. You carried yourself in a way that made everyone around you feel safe, seen, and loved. I miss our soul deep talks the ones where nothing was off limits, where I could lay my heart bare in ways I never have with anyone else. You made me feel important when I forgot my own worth. You reminded me who I was. I promise to take care of your brother with all that I am. I promise to live a life you would’ve loved, to speak your name often, and to keep your memory alive in every way I can. You will never be forgotten, because you are woven into who I am.
