Jesus loves Kyro. One of my favorite moments this past summer.

Belief looks like a transformed life.

Belief looks like repentance from one life into another.

What you believe is core to how you live.

If you don’t believe in your creator, you won’t live in what you were created for.

The Gospel is very simple. Too simple for the mind that wants to work its way to God.

How can 700+ people be saved this summer you ask?

Because we didn’t invite them into a salvation that needed a bunch of gimmicks to be saved.

The invitation is and always has been and always will be - Only Believe.

Be born again.

Bring all your friends who are lost & far from God.

Let’s set this city on fire with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

This is NOT NORMAL!

The Kingdom of God is moving among us in Wilmington. Over 1,000 people have come to know Christ this last summer across the nation, BUT mostly in Wilmington.

THIS IS NOT NORMAL!

It is not normal for someone to decide on the spot, upon hearing the full Gospel, that they would like to make a conscious decision to repent of their sins and make a confession to follow Jesus.

As far as we know - the last time people gave their lives to Jesus so simply and easily was in the 70s during the Jesus People movement.

Which, if you didn’t know, THOUSANDS of hippies were getting saved and baptized then. Most of them unchurched and searching for more.

Stories from people in that time quoted that seeing salvations would happen almost without saying anything.

WHICH WE HAVE SEEN!

Literally last week we had a UNCW student come to our tent, WEEPING, asking for prayer and deliverance before we’d said a word.

Saturday night she was baptized and surrendered all to Jesus as our team @saltchurches surrounded her with love and words.

We’ve heard stories of the Jesus People Movement where people would put signs up at their beach towels that read things like “I’ve already been saved” or “I’ve already heard the Gospel” because EVERYONE was preaching the Gospel.

The Kingdom of God is not that of talk, but of power, Paul says in 1 Corinthians 4.

Jesus is more than good ideas, a philosophy, good teaching, good morals, etc.

I don’t know if there’s much I love more than being a dad and husband.

If there is any means by which I’ve gotten a massive glimpse into the heart of God as a Father - it’s through actually being one.

When I look at my kids I feel my heart swell with delight. A holy fire rests in my eyes that they would know my love for them.

Probably the most insane summer of my life thus far.

1000+ saved. Hundreds baptized. Likely thousands commissioned to enter the harvest and preach the Gospel. All across the nation.

Nashville, NYC, Wilmington, everywhere, people are being saved. Repenting of their sins, asking Jesus to forgive them, and being baptized.

I truly believe the solution to a church at war with itself is to look at the battlefield and go to war together. @saltchurches

A church at war together binds together in unity, sitting down at a Table in the Presence of her enemies.

I’ve seen it with my own eyes. Jesus loves people.

The whole point of Jesus’ life was to save you, to heal you, to redeem you, to set you free.

Not just to give you nice ideas on how to live, how to be moral or be wise.

Everything.

Everything Jesus did was to save you from hell.

As Christians this requires us to live differently. To profess one thing and live oppositely of the way he lived is to not believe what we say we believe.

Standing idly by is to forget what kind of person you are. (James 1)

You were called to see the sick healed, the dead raised and the demons cast out that once plagued you.

After last night I’m so freaking pumped to preach at Saturate UNCW Sept 19th!! The power of God came on our first 5PM meeting @saltchurches

Yesterday, 230PM, I was in the shower and the Lord downloaded to me a word from Romans 1 on the power of God.

I was not expecting to preach, especially having had a baby 4 days prior. If anything just coming to get Myra out of the house, but the Lord had other plans for us haha. People were healed, saved, baptized and set on fire for awakening in the region. Jesus will have his reward in Wilmington if I have to die for it.

I’ve never told anyone, but I’ve been seeing visions of getting to preach at the amphitheater for years.

A year ago the Lord spoke to me and said, “So goes UNCW, so goes the city.” I’m believing for hundreds and thousands of students to be saved, born again, and baptized, full of the Holy Spirit this coming year.

18,000 students come through this city every single year. The harvest is ripe. George Whitfield and Jonathan Edwards saw 80% of America saved during the 1st Great Awakening. Why can’t we see 80% of UNCW saved and enter revival and awakening?

Maybe, just maybe, if we only believe the power of the simple Gospel to save - we’d see an entire school charged with the fire of God and see the culture of a city fly into awakening. We paid to end at 11PM on Sept 19th, but in faith I pray we’d be in trouble for baptizing into the deep hours of the morning.

Jesus is parading the streets of Wilmington with the keys of Death and Hades ringing on his hip, a tattoo on his thigh that says King of Kings, Lord of Lords. He’s setting the captives free. It’s not a matter of “if” with awakening, it’s when. When will you be ready?
