The magic carpet ride continues with the pinnacle of the quiver. The @wintersticksnowboards Swallowtail. In the spring of 2006 I was lucky to get invited on a dream trip to @cmhgalena for the Transworld Snowboarding Powder Board Test with @hamiltonick @kurt_hoy and @bryaniguchi. We had 50 boards and a handful of free Heli days 🚁 The trip forever changed the way I looked at board shapes. On the final few runs I finally mounted up the 183 Swally and had my mind blown. It felt like a tiny twin fin I had been surfing in those days and reminded me of skating mini ramp playing on windlips. You could stomp any landing and float through the deepest snow. These days my 173 split/solids come out for the deepest days and I always feel like I am reconnecting with the feelings of the early high performance powder riding that Dimitrije Milovich pioneered in the 70’s when he and his crew in Utah just called it Sticking. Winter is approaching fast so if you want to get on a stick this year reach out to the factory and @soccerdoge to get your dream board ready for deep days ahead. #Winterstick #Wintersticking #Winterstickwednesday by @sethwescott

The magic carpet ride continues on #winterstickwednesday with the Aurora. The brainchild of @robkingwill after his first extended exposure to the original @wintersticksnowboards Swallowtail. A true powder Gun that has become my go to on deep days. Effortlessly floats through deep Japanese forests yet rails fluid carves when runouts turn hard pack or just when you go for a surf inspired carving session on corduroy. My most memorable turns of last winter happened on the 178 version and this spring I made myself a split version that is the same size. I am already anticipating future dreamy days as it looks down upon my wax bench from the top spot in my quiver rack. Surf’s up and winter is coming. See you in the mountains 🤙🏼 by @sethwescott

#winterstickwedsnesday Winter is coming, and we are entering year 8 of the Daydreamer. My go to Stick whenever the snow is falling. Whether I’m splitboarding or riding the resort, if it’s a pow day, then chances are high this nose is what will be helping me levitate above it all. A small Swallowtail to make the board more maneuverable and playful, combined with taper to rocket you fast out of turns, yet still rails carves on the hard pack days. Multiple colorways in this surf inspired design. Go to Winterstick.com and get your dream board ready for this winter. by @sethwescott

Can you spot the difference from last year's model?

Happy 50th birthday to @sethwescott! Some of the best days of my life have been spent chasing pow turns in crazy places with you!
For 25 years or more we have traveled all over the world, to places like Nepal, Greenland, Japan, Canada, Europe and Alaska. We’ve built @wintersticksnowboards, raced ‘em, jumped ‘em and slashed them.
I tried to collect some of my favorite moments here but the memories are endless.
Cheers to another 50 laps around the sun standing sideways!

Some seasons end in an instant. That’s how this one went for me on the first night of a dream trip. Last year @bruhnsphoto posed a question to me about telling the story of the origin of @cvasnowboarding I was lucky enough to grow up down the road from @gocva. The academy was lucky to have @mark_fawcett come knocking on the door. And then point them in the direction of @webcat1111 to steer the ship. We were all lucky that @jeremyjones had a family connection to @sugarloafmountain and parents willing to let him chase his passion at a young age. Those three all shaped the way I’ve snowboarded for the last 36 years. So to get them all together for five days of splitboarding @whitecap was a true full circle moment in life. Old friends sharing our love of snowboarding and the different lines it’s led us down in life. Next winter keep an eye out for @no_wrong_turns_film that tells the story of that origin point for so many snowboard dreams. From the western mountains of Maine to all the mountain ranges of the world we were all lucky to get to chase our snowboard dreams and have them shape our lives. While my ankle kept me from enjoying the following four days in the skin track, it didn’t stop me from enjoying the camaraderie of old friends and sharing in their stoke for adventure and long overdue catch up. Thirty days later I’m mobile again and looking forward to the next adventure in this life of shred! by @sethwescott

A whole winter can come down to just a few precious moments in the memory bank. A few seconds of feeling at one with your setup in the mountains in a special place with a special crew. I was lucky enough to have a last minute trip come together to @bellacoolahelisports to film with @austensweetin @bruhnsphoto and @lucey while being guided by my longtime shred friend @justin_lamoureux Those four days in the mountains were truly special and will be giving me daydreams for years to come. by @sethwescott

Happy Earth Day everyone. She’s all we have. ✌🏼♥️ by @sethwescott

It’s hard sometimes to put into words how moving an experience in the mountains can be. This week I found myself in awe of the central coast mountains of British Columbia, in @bellacoolahelisports tenure. In all my travels through the winter world I hadn’t experienced so much variety between glacial fields, vertical relief, old growth forests, and lush river valleys as those that I witnessed in Bella Coola. A last minute trip at the end of winter with friends old and new was truly so profound and powerful I am deeply grateful it came together. My wife @kittredhead had guided for years there and my daughter even moved through these mountains in utero, so it felt truly moving to be the last member of my family to experience such grandeur. We were blessed with ample sunshine and I was able to revisit my old skills of looking at massive terrain and seeing the places that looked fun to move through. Snowboarding has been such a massive part of my life and yet there are some places on Earth that truly magnify the senses and make me feel so deeply grateful for all these experiences I’ve been able to live on and because of a board. Thank you to all the staff @bellacoolahelisports for running such a world class operation. From the chefs, to the pilots, the lodge staff and the guides, you were all incredible and I can’t wait to visit you all again 🙏🏼 by @sethwescott
