As systems/illusions/delusions collapse/💩 hits the fan (*gestures everywhere*), I’m opening up hours to share energy / connect / catalyze what’s coming through the chaos. Change often starts on a subtle level before finding its form—how can we make space to witness the emergence? Also, I love/miss you and want to make more time to reconnect with kind folks.

WHAT TO EXPECT
A supportive space to check-in. I’ll invite us into some somatic sensing and visualizations to connect to land, ancestors, guides, support, stillness. Remote via zoom, phone, or even asynchronistic.

OPTIONAL EXCHANGE / SLIDING SCALE DONATION (via Venmo)
$5-$75 suggested offering for 45 min. Money will go towards @movefestonmain, a youth + community movement festival I co-founded in Catskill NY.

More info / link in bio. Email me if you need another time. I’m in a toxic relationship with Meta and may not check DMs regularly.

[TheShadow_JuliusCaesar_summer2024] so much to say about this character/role and the tentacular, unexpected connections + insights that continue to feed me (ask me about Jung and my inner villain 👹). The culminations, arrivals, intersections of time + technique felt like stepping into a familiar skin that was waiting for me.

Thank you to @mikeuk83 creating this world; @reco_dance for unearthing this monster movement; @karenrboyer for the otherworldly fit; craig.f.hall for thinking of me; @sarahreny1 + @frankwildermannyoga for your deep care and vision; and this dope cast + crew I learned so much from.✨

If you have resources, consider supporting @catskill_mountain_shakespeare and their work. Young people in upstate rural areas deserve to see the many (diverse, buried, expansive, queer) parts of themselves reflected back to them.

I don’t know. Do you? How can we play with our relationship to not knowing?

We’ll start by turning and tending inward. We’ll invite in something larger or deeper or wider than ourselves. We’ll root into the trees. Tend to our grief. Conjure queer ancestors, Dolly, Tim, the fierce warriors, freedom fighters, stewards, tricksters, healers, resisters, non-human kin, eclipse energy, whoever / whatever calls you—across lands and lineage—known and unknown—in pursuit of collective action, power, portals, remembering, defragmentation.

We’ll be with each other. We’ll be with emergence. We’ll fumble. We’ll fail. We’ll wiggle it out and move in ways that nourish. We’ll find our voices. And then who knows what we’ll find…

✨ Bring an item, an object, a message, a prayer for a community altar. ✨ open to all levels.

Thank you for this invitation and your expansive vision @pillow_fort_arts_center 💕

"Stick Figures" (official music video) by gushes, 2025

Gagged and screaming from the umbilical tongue, “Stick Figures” is a nonbinary allegory— a final dance with a version of self who must die in order to live closer to liberation. Bound and extended by the fabrics of psychic gristle, the video moves through the ritual schism of birth, a glamorous yet indignant intervention between Mother
Trickster and Baby Beast, and then floral devastation-release at the peak of a waterfall.

With music, direction, cinematography, & editing by Filipinx interdisciplinary artist, Jennae Santos (aka gushes), the song’s prickling, sludging sound scores the salt of seduction on the lunge of flight.

The video was filmed on location at @mosquitopointroadhouse and @starroutefarm —sites that foster radical healing and growth for queer communities in the Catskills. An exercise in Kapwa– a concept in Indigenous Filipino psychology that refers to seeing oneself in the other, the music video illuminates the somatic interdependence, erotic wisdom, and diasporic resilience of queer Asian Americana in relationship to land. Bodies are one, vibrating to the storied textures of land and bursting flowers in unbound expressions of liberation.

last year, 2 fronds @setoburrito @cialikethey who i now call fam came into my life in the wake of shared grief. we self-directed a vulnerable process while cohabitating for a week. this work is the result of our initial intersection, held with great trust & intimacy🤎 taken in Catskill Mountains by @setoburrito

UNABASHED AT THE BASHMENT
What does it feel like to share yourself fearlessly when you move? In this class, we are using Dancehall movement to unlock what we hide from the world—embodying ourselves fully in the light by embracing the unapologetic nature of the dance. We’ll travel from the Old Skool to the New Skool and have moments to share our bodies’ stories at the end of each session.
