🎬 Levelling up!

We were excited to welcome Set Ready alumni back into the room recently for our very first Level 2 courses.

This is something we've been working towards for a while now, because there’s always more to learn, more confidence to build and more ways to keep developing as you find your feet in the industry.

It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces. Here's what some of them had to say about Level 2 -

“More than anything, it has made me even more determined that Locations is the department I want to pursue a career in.” - Glen

“The course was very thorough with lots to think about. Very professional and candid.” - Selena

“It filled gaps in my knowledge and built on my filmmaking production experience, helping me bring higher standards to any role I take on” - Sophie

This is what it's all about!

We absolutely love hearing from our trainees after their first placements on set, and this email from Nuno made our day.

After training with us in May, Nuno recently completed their first placement on a Netflix production. They got stuck in, worked hard, and enjoyed every minute.

Congratulations to Nuno, and to all of our Set Ready trainees who are taking their first steps into the industry. We're proud of you all.

Well done to two of our trainees - Sebastian and Joseph - for doing a fantastic job on their on-set placement recently.

They were working a night shoots along Bankside for an upcoming Netflix release; in many ways, in at the deep end! We're pleased to see that their training served them well and look forward to watching their careers develop!

📸 South & West London, May 2026

We always hear from our trainees that they love the collaborative tasks on the course. It's a chance to get to know each other, to share knowledge, and to work as a team (the latter in particular being something you've got to nail if you want to thrive on set!)

We all have memories of classroom tasks as children that drove us mad, but it's amazing how fun a "classroom" environment can be when it's something you're passionate about and you're surrounded by good people 👌 🎬️

We're sharing our next dates for our South & West London boroughs early next week, keep your eye peels on our feed for more details.

Here's some glowing feedback we received about trainees from our @eastsuffolkcouncil edition of the course with @screensuffolk.

We're so proud of our trainees as they continue to cement excellent reputations for themselves out on placements (this time working on an upcoming Netflix release). And thank you so much to LM @wrightlocations for letting us know how well they got on!

📸 North & East London, May 2026

Some snaps of our lovely cohort from North and East London last month!

Big thanks to the @osmanicentre for being such an excellent venue for us. Our trainees love roaming the local area testing out their newfound radio skills, too.
