A Bondi classic for good reason 🌊🔥

We headed to the original @hurricanesgrillandbar in Bondi, just across from the beach, where it all began back in 1995.

The menu is all about generous portions, fresh seasonal produce and that signature flame-grilled style, with everything from burgers 🍔 and seafood 🦐 to their famous ribs and premium Australian steaks 🥩 .

We tried the flame-grilled basted pork ribs, Darling Downs Southern Prime sirloin, and South Australian king prawns 🦐 with chilli, lime and miso butter, plus a couple of very fun cocktails including the Ube Colada 🍹and Shiso Highball 🍸.

And of course, we finished with warm sticky date pudding, butterscotch and vanilla ice cream.

Such an easy spot for a family lunch, dinner with friends or a casual group catch-up by the beach.

A few of our team - @jazzygc @brendangarlick and @rubymcginty_ - walked the floors of the expo today, catching up with industry friends, hearing interesting talks, and discovering new products perfect for hotels and hospitality venues. One of us even won some TP to take home 🧻. #winning by @seven.storeys

🥩 Review: Five Wagyu Courses, Five Wine Pairings and One Unexpected Crème Brûlée

Wagyu in a crème brûlée? We were curious too. But it works.

La Madonna’s five-course degustation takes Wagyu well beyond a traditional steak dinner:

🥂 Wagyu tongue with Champagne
🍷 Hanger steak carpaccio with Pinot Noir
🥟 Tenderloin tortellini in double Wagyu consommé
🥩 45-day butter-dry-aged MB6 cube roll
🍮 Wagyu tallow crème brûlée with Liqueur Muscat

Our standout dishes were the delicate tortellini and deeply flavoured cube roll, and the Palladino Barbera pairing was easily one of the night's highlights.

Add La Madonna’s cosy, moody setting and warm, attentive service, and you have a dinner that feels worthy of a special occasion.

WHEELIE SWEET: Move over tiramisu - the pav trolley is here. A new marble-topped trolley piled high with pavlova is one of three new culinary experiences launched at @LukeMangan’s @lukeskitchensyd restaurant, all adding to the trend of theatrical, tableside dining.

🍰🍓 In a choose-your-own-adventure finale to dinner, the dessert trolley is wheeled tableside where you can select a slice of cloud-like pavlova along with with your choice of cream, custard or curd, plus a rotating selection of seasonal fruit and garnishes, for $25pp. Available for dinner Tuesday-Saturday from 5pm.

👨‍🍳 Luke has also introduced a new Chef’s Table experience on the first Friday of each month starting tomorrow, and a new Luke's Cut steak night on Tuesdays with tableside butcher's block from which to choose a steak, sauce and side. by @seven.storeys

We celebrated International Cat Day with a five-star stay at @kimptonmargotsydney🥂

I am always so anxious when I’m away from my little ones, but I also love a hotel stay!

I got the best of both worlds this weekend with Kimpton’s pet-friendly accommodation, and our little family had a staycation 🧖🏻‍♀️

@kimptonmargotsydney provided everything the Babies needed! We didn’t have to bring anything 🥹

SO FRESH: Huge congrats to our friends behind fave North Shore hangout @follyssydney, on the successful launch of their newest venue, @freshieclubhouse. 🍻🌊🍴

The transformation at Freshwater Brewing Co. in Brookvale has been quite something to behold and be a part of, and if the viral social media posts are anything to go by, locals in the Northern Beaches are here for it!

Get on over there for old school surf and sports club vibes and nostalgic pub fare with an elevated nudge, plus easy-drinking beers brewed out back, local wines and throwback cocktails - our pick is the Goodie Bag which comes garnished with a red frog. 💪 by @seven.storeys

With upgraded rooms and suites, new Nineteen restaurant, and a refreshed rooftop pool deck and bar, this great-value hotel is the perfect choice for chill getaways 👙🍹 Time to pack up the kids (they stay and eat free* 👀) and take that trip to the Sunny Coast.
