What an exciting way to close the season with 11 sizzling performances of “Mere Mortals,” choreographed by @aszurebarton to an incredible score by @floatingpoints. Special kudos to the amazing solos by Cordula Merks, Annabelle Taubl, Simón Gómez Gallego, and our stellar percussion section!

We are not quite done yet—see you at the @sfballetschool Spring Festival on May 8 & 9!

Looks like our horn section is brewing up something special! In “La Sylphide” principal horn Kevin Rivard leads the lads in some truly magical horn chorales📯. Come join us for all the bewitching fun in this stunning ballet through April 16! 🩰🎶

It takes a special talent to match Pascal Molat’s brilliant portrayal of Sancho Panza’s horn call, and we have just the guy! Here’s Principal Horn Kevin Rivard giving his best rendition - a classic every show that he plays from the pit while Sancho Panza mimes on stage! 🎶📯

What’s better than 3 terrific Kitris? How about 5! Our final two Kitris are pictured here together - Wona Park @wonapark dances this evening, and tomorrow afternoon brings the eagerly awaited debut of Katherine Barkman @katherine_barkman in the role. Don’t miss it! 💃

This afternoon our Kitri is gorgeous Nikisha Fogo @nikishafogo. One of the most tender moments in Don Quixote is Basilio’s (today Joshua Jack Price @joshuajackprice ) first entrance and Pas de Deux with Kitri, which is accompanied by a lovely cello solo played by our wonderful principal cellist, Eric Sung @ericsungcello.

One of the most famous dances in Don Q happens to be one of Ballet’s most famous harp tunes. Tonight enjoy the radiant virtuosity of Principal Dancer Madeline Woo @maddwoo and Principal Harpist Annabelle Taubl @annabelletaublharp in Kitri’s Variation! 💃🏻🪉

Our Don Quixote features 5 different Kitris, and each one dances the role with slightly different tempi. Which means we have to be on our “toes” for all the subtle variations! 💃🏻

In between the Composition Contest and the Anniversary Concert we found time for our 15th Annual @piedmontpiano Chamber Concert. Big thank you to Craig Reiss (Associate Principal Second Violin) for curating a varied and entertaining program!
We hope you enjoy this small sample, and please join us again next year! 🎶✨
