FO Friday: New Pants Alert!
Finished these a week ago. I thought I could only wear 🐆 leopard print in shoes but then I saw @sometimes_a_great_notions track pants and knew I had to make myself a pair.

I am so lucky that once I had told my husband that 🐏 Lambtown🐑 was this weekend, he was like, let’s go.
Sheep Dog Herding. He really wanted to see this demonstration. These border collies are so intelligent and full of energy.

After the dog demo my husband wanted a drink. We got these lemonades, his strawberry 🍓 and mine pineapple 🍍.

Fluffy, bright rovings. I had fun squishing them.

I specifically looked for Eva of @seismicyarn
She and I have known one another since her youngest was a baby (she’s 13 now). Our knitting group used to knit on Mondays at Nordstrom cafe in Stonestown.

I thought this spinning wheel lovely.

These sock blockers! I really liked the 🧜‍♀️ mermaid one and almost bought it, but I do have several of these tools at home already.

I thought this baby cardigan so cute. I almost bought the yarn but it’s DK and I didn’t know what I’d make with it.

I also specifically sought out @ruiknits and I got to meet @astitchofgreen too!!!

Checking out the livestock was a must!

My yeobo and I caught the last weekend of the Matisse: A Modern Scandal exhibit today; it was actually both of our first time at the SF MOMA.

The infamous Femme au chapeau of Matisse.

The husband took pics of me in my me made, Margo Pinafore throughout our visit.

We usually took the stairs in the museum to get our steps in.

While it’s cooler in SF than where we live, I didn’t need a jacket as I’ve been getting slapped by hot flashes since my birthday.

I find it fascinating how a person can put their heart and soul into such a large art piece.

Thought this cool art.

I found it hard to see the boundaries/seams of different media used in this piece.

The colors caught my eye and I loved the movement and reflections.

The ceiling of the building before the exit is decorated like this.

We were starving; found a Sweet Greens nearby. I had their Autumn Harvest Bowl; it was really good.

Rented a minivan as usual. Not all of this stuff is the sophomore’s; the 19 yo is a minimalist. It’s her unni who has to have all the things and who brought down more stuff for her studio.

My yeobo and I were thirsty this evening and not very hungry so we hit @slusheeland

52 is calling.
A quiet, three-day weekend: My back needed more time to heal so I was pretty much confined to bed with the company of IB & heating pad + the youngest has been recovering from wisdom surgery.
The upsides - My yeobo bought me roses 🌹 and made sure I didn’t have to cook + QT w/my Boo Boo: movies, online shopping, & finally by Saturday I was able to walk around w/out meds so we made 🍪.
My parents brought down SF Chinese food yesterday and the five of us happily ate this pretty, naked red velvet cake E got me.

They were toe up, but I forgot how to convert wrap & turns to German Short Rows; the first attempt resulted in a heel to the side of the sock 🤦🏻‍♀️
So frogged everything and knitting good ol’ familiar cuff down.

Our nephew was in the Yay for a conference so we took him out to Burma Superstar. Haven’t seen him for 13 years. Happy to see him grown into a mature and well-spoken, besides handsome adult. So glad we got to connect again @ikesong4 You are amazing and talented. Love you.
