For Bandcamp Friday, we’re releasing a new song, “Light Governance” from New World Vultures, the companion LP to The New World—which we’ll release exclusively on Bandcamp next year.)

NWV has its own identity; it’s bit looser and lighter, though since it’s us, it also shimmers with contradictions. Many of its songs were recorded very late at night, and seemed to blow in on the wind. Like this one.

Lastly, a gentle reminder: we’ll be on tour in northern Europe and the UK with @lomatheband from October 31 to November 22nd, and we’d love to see you there.

I sent @deronface back to the Poconos today and won’t see him again for a month and a bit when he suddenly appears at our Paris show. (Woohoo!) Sad to leave, but also very excited to be back on the road again an a few days. It’s been way too long since I’ve played a show. by @sfxmaven

Epic staycation-style day in the city today. @deronface and I went to the Guggenheim which was less expensive because they’re installing a show in the spiral, walked & did the crossword in Central Park, and then had vegan ramen at Red White Boneless, and soft serve at Orchard Grocer. A banner day! by @sfxmaven

TLDR: We’re just trying to pay musicians a fair wage for our tour. Please help if you can at the link in my bio.

Also, if you have any questions, please let me know. We’re now looking for some major funders (get in touch if you’re looking to make a large tax-deductible contribution to a good arts/environment cause…), but any and all contributions are appreciated. And if you have ideas, please DM me.

You’d think all of these years with most of my non-music friends working in non-profit development, I’d have learned this via osmosis, but it turns out… nope! by @sfxmaven

Sat down (stood up?) with Emily Lee from @shearwaterband to talk her 3 shopping picks. Don’t think we’ve ever seen someone compare Black Sabbath and Alice Coltrane like that before but absolutely loved it.

Our (@shearwaterband) new album The New World is Uncut Magazine’s Album of the month in the August 2026 issue. They gave us a full 4 page spread, and a 9/10 review (better than Rook!). A snippet:
