POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

The tour we humbly consider the best ticket on earth this year—Shearwater + Loma w/Any Kind—is now under way. it’s a joy to be playing together again.

We’ve been rehearsing for the past few days in the UK, and after a warm-up show in Cornwall next week, we’ll head to the EU, Switzerland, and back to the UK for an epic run of 18 shows. You can expect highlights from every Shearwater album since Palo Santo, and songs from every Loma album, well, ever.

Some shows are already sold out—and there are only 6 tickets left for Berlin!—but there are still tickets available for most dates (Geneva, Zurich, and Odense, we’re looking at you.)

You can find tickets at the link in our bios. We hope to see you out there. JM

Pinky (@crossrecord) has been taking photos for her tour diary (an incentive that we offered to funders of our tour). Here, we’ll be posting some of the pics that didn’t quite make it.

You can see more bts from our rehearsals and tour by following @shearwaterband and any of our touring party - some are more active on socials than others.

For Bandcamp Friday, we’re releasing a new song, “Light Governance” from New World Vultures, the companion LP to The New World—which we’ll release exclusively on Bandcamp next year.)

NWV has its own identity; it’s bit looser and lighter, though since it’s us, it also shimmers with contradictions. Many of its songs were recorded very late at night, and seemed to blow in on the wind. Like this one.

Link is in our bio and at shearwater.bandcamp.com

Lastly, a gentle reminder: we’ll be on tour in northern Europe and the UK with @lomatheband from October 31 to November 22nd, and we’d love to see you there.

You can find all the tour dates in our bio and at www.shearwatermusic.com.

XO,

JM / SW

Link in @marissa_nadler bio - head there to hear “Sky Burial” (pretty self explanatory) and “Drive It In” (written for a nixed Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot). Lovely cover painting by Marissa, keys/harp by the incredible @sfxmaven & mixed by the mighty @j2hthree Enjoy! Also now’s a good time to revisit our album + EP releases on @sacredbones

A few weeks ago, Shearwater and Loma announced our When Can I See You? Tour—a co-headlining tour in November of this year. The shows would be our first live performances since 2018, and the thought of finally performing live again after eight years is thrilling.

But—to make a long story short—we simply can’t afford this tour without your help. The costs of touring are insane these days,, and even if all the shows sell out, we’d still come up short.

So we’re taking a leap of faith and launching a crowdfund to make up the difference, with the help our nonprofit partners at Fractured Atlas. Goodies we’re offering to entice you range from live recordings and videos to handmade artwork, and you can find all the details at the link in our bio. And all donations are tax-deductible.

We hope you’ll help us perform again! We’d love to see you.
