Hola Bootstrappers. I am Abhishek. I run Shack Coffee Co. It's a five year old cafe. It's for bootstrappers. I started it with one table and one chair. Today it is a hub for the community of bootstrappers. I built it by using the fundamentals of marketing, public relations and customer care.

Everyday fellow bootstrappers ask me about the secrets of building their communities. Building your community is not magic.

It's a step by step process. It's about knowing your customers, identifying the most relevant ones, defining objectives and reaching out to them to grow the business and build the community.

Every week I will send a newsletter keeping in mind the the bootstrappers, who come to Shack. Expect to use the insights and ideas to build your community.

Please join the newsletter.

Do not cross. (Too late, you already did.)

Crime Scene is coming to South Delhi @shackhq | Tix in Bio

A live trivia game show about crime in all its forms. Real, fictional, cinematic. Murders, scams, heists, cover-ups, con artists, cults. If it involved a scheme, a body, a courtroom, or a getaway car, it is fair game.

You have binged the documentaries. Listened to the podcasts. Had strong opinions about every verdict. Now put it to the test.

Saturday, 24 October. Shack Coffee Co, Shahpur Jat. Tickets at ₹349 onwards. Link in bio.

A neighbourhood spot in the truest sense. We went for coffee and a slow chat with their witty co-founder Abhishek. We ended up returning for an ear-numbing gig.

Read about all about @shackhq at the link in our bio to see what gives.

We came back to Dilli after over a year and hosted probably our smallest-coziest show yet

All gossip was well received and enjoyed @shackhq

Good fun knowing everyone by their names and having some friends over

Next time the room will likely be slightly larger but the vibes will stay the same

We will be back @shackhq on Oct 24, Saturday with our fresh off the shelf (for Dilli) theme which is called Crime Scene. Know more from the link in bio or just DM to chit chat

Thanking our friends @babypleasecomehome_ for the warm goodies — go check them out to set some fun rituals

See y’all soon! taken in Shack Coffee Co. by @shackhq

We’re back at Shack for another Sunday afternoon of hanging out, making some noise, and playing with synths together.

One of our favourite things about the home hangs is learning from each other and getting to see how everyone approaches their instruments. The same basic ideas can sound completely different in different hands and synths, and there’s always something new that shows up!

We’ve also been hearing from our regulars that they’d like to get a little deeper into how synthesisers actually work. So that’s what we’re exploring this time around!

This time, five members of our group will take us through live explorations of different aspects of synthesis and how they use them in their own practice and performances. And then, of course, we’ll open up the instruments for some group jams. Come with or without your gear, listen, learn, ask questions, and get your hands dirty.

6 Months, 6 Shows
ZOO 5 was the first show. For The Love Of Comics was the second show. Ashwitha curated comics by authors from around the country. It was also a success. We borrowed table for showcasing the books. They got their shelves to put more books. Ashish Das exhibited the third show. He is nearing sixty, but he has the enthusiasm of a teenager. He sold his artwork. He hadn’t painted in years. Now he is painting more. Abhishek Vidyarthi did the fourth show. He has a love and hate relationship with the city. His work showcased the river, the forests, farmhouses and the horse. Guests loved and grabbed his work. Leesha’s pop up was our fifth show. She was Shack’s first customer in 2022. Our 6th show is on.

Bringing Omair Ahmad’s new novella to our readers in Delhi. Join us at the quaint Shack Coffee Co. on Thursday, 1 October, where Lucknow resident Arunima Singh will be in conversation with the author.

An evening exploring stories of a changing city, complicated families, and the idea of home. #Homecoming #IndianFiction #OmairAhmad by @shackhq

Home hangs were such an abstract thing in our heads. 10 people land up at a house and start jamming and go back happy. How does one open this to the public without losing the intimacy?

Luckily @shackhq is quickly becoming a second home. And so we invited everyone to land up there and jam!

Suffice to say that everyone who came at 4 PM left at 7 PM, with a big smile on their face (regardless of what it looks like in the photographs)!
