The making of blue!

A little chemistry, a little sunlight, and an image that comes to life in shades of blue!

No two prints are ever quite the same, and that's the beauty of gum bichromate.

What if a photograph didn't have to look exactly like the image on your screen? What if you could build it layer by layer, play with pigments, and let a little unpredictability become part of the process?

Gum bichromate is an alternative photographic printing process where photographs meet pigments, light, and the human touch. At Alt Pigments, we're inviting you to "Between Light and Shadow", a Gum Bichromate workshop, to explore this wonderfully unpredictable process and turn your photographs into something entirely your own.

Workshop details
Dates: 24 & 25 October 2026 (choose your batch)

Time: 12:00 - 4:00 PM
Venue: Shack Coffee Co,143 A, Ground Floor, Shahpur Jat, Siri Fort, New Delhi, Delhi 110049

Workshop Fee: ₹2499

A neighbourhood spot in the truest sense. We went for coffee and a slow chat with their witty co-founder Abhishek. We ended up returning for an ear-numbing gig.

Delhi’s revving up for the madness of festival music and crowds. What does one do with the slower days in between? A gallery art show’s an easy way of answering this. As walkable weather and AQI peaks return to the city, there’s no better theme to explore for a break than nature.

Check out all the details on our website - link in bio.

We came back to Dilli after over a year and hosted probably our smallest-coziest show yet

All gossip was well received and enjoyed @shackhq

Good fun knowing everyone by their names and having some friends over

Next time the room will likely be slightly larger but the vibes will stay the same

We will be back @shackhq on Oct 24, Saturday with our fresh off the shelf (for Dilli) theme which is called Crime Scene. Know more from the link in bio or just DM to chit chat

Thanking our friends @babypleasecomehome_ for the warm goodies — go check them out to set some fun rituals

See y’all soon!

Hola Bootstrappers. I am Abhishek. I run Shack Coffee Co. It's a five year old cafe. It's for bootstrappers. I started it with one table and one chair. Today it is a hub for the community of bootstrappers. I built it by using the fundamentals of marketing, public relations and customer care.

Everyday fellow bootstrappers ask me about the secrets of building their communities. Building your community is not magic.

It's a step by step process. It's about knowing your customers, identifying the most relevant ones, defining objectives and reaching out to them to grow the business and build the community.

Every week I will send a newsletter keeping in mind the the bootstrappers, who come to Shack. Expect to use the insights and ideas to build your community.

Please join the newsletter.

Last week was lil overwhelming, but in the best way. Seeing friends come by, meeting new people, talking about the work, explaining abt mine, and just having people around made the whole thing feel very real.

I’m really grateful to everyone who came, to everyone who wanted to come but couldn’t, and to everyone I got to meet through the exhibition. It was really lovely having so many people become a small part of this first experience

@shacocohq @varleen_05 who made it happen, have my heart 🫶

We’re back at Shack for another Sunday afternoon of hanging out, making some noise, and playing with synths together.

One of our favourite things about the home hangs is learning from each other and getting to see how everyone approaches their instruments. The same basic ideas can sound completely different in different hands and synths, and there’s always something new that shows up!

We’ve also been hearing from our regulars that they’d like to get a little deeper into how synthesisers actually work. So that’s what we’re exploring this time around!

This time, five members of our group will take us through live explorations of different aspects of synthesis and how they use them in their own practice and performances. And then, of course, we’ll open up the instruments for some group jams. Come with or without your gear, listen, learn, ask questions, and get your hands dirty.
