With 8 years in Scouting under his belt, Preston brings a wealth of leadership experience and passion to the VOA team. He is an Eagle Scout, a graduate of the National Advanced Youth Leadership Experience (NAYLE), and deeply involved across the Sam Houston Area Council.

Within the Order of the Arrow, Preston serves as the North Area Chief for Colonneh Lodge and leads the New Induction Experience team. His heart for training shines brightest through National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT)—having served on staff for four courses, he is now gearing up to serve as Senior Patrol Leader for his final course, Course 26-7, this winter!

Though he officially joined Venturing a year ago, Preston has been actively involved in nearly every corner of SHAC. He’s excited to step into the Training Chair role to support, equip, and empower Venturers and Officers across the council for an incredible year ahead! by @shacventuring

SHAC V.O.A.’s College-Readiness Kickoff Rally was a total win!
A huge thank-you to our special guests for sharing valuable information on scholarship opportunities, résumé building, and writing effective college essays. Your insight gave our Venturers practical tools to help them take the next step with confidence. And the fun didn’t stop there. The tailgate-style games and game day food were the perfect way to celebrate, connect, and kick off the college-readiness journey!
