The tide was no match for this crew! Sea Scouts and Venturers from across council, representing multiple Ships and Crews, came together at the Aquatics Summit for the action-packed Outwit the Tide adventure trek.

Once divided into four tribes, participants hit the water for the Canoe Challenge and kept the momentum going through water relays, tin foil river duck races, ice excavation, and a finale obstacle course packed with teamwork, energy, and fun.

The trek wrapped with Tribal Council, where Scouts reflected on favorite moments, leadership lessons, and the power of working together. Huge thanks to our Council V.O.A and Sea Scout Quarterdeck for teaming up to make this adventure happen!

It has been an honor to serve as the CST 7&8 Support Lead for the 2023-2024 term.

Originally, I had no intention of serving on the national level. I spent the Summer of 2023 staffing NYLT, going to NAYLE, and staffing Summer Camp. I was exhausted and ready to have a low key semester back at school when I received a message from Evan Nazareth encouraging me to apply for the NQD. I applied, and now here we are.

I have too many thanks to give, but I will do my best. To the 2023-2024 NQD, thank you for helping me grow and making our monthly meetings enjoyable. A big shout out to @nat.ravari for helping me make these posts look fire. And finally, thank you to @jjnscouting for being a role model for so many years, and for being my deciding factor in applying for the NQD.

YIS,
Chris DeBetta

On May 18th, 2024, I had the absolute pleasure to celebrate @trevon_sly_06 and his recent achievement of Eagle Scout. At his court of honor, Trevon awarded me with a Mentor Pin. Receiving this pin is easily one of my proudest moments of not just Scouting, but in my life as well. I am extremely fortunate to know Trevon, and am excited to see his journey continue.

Pretend I posted this in January…✨🚨‼️

Colonneh Lodge’s annual banquet was a wonderful way to celebrate cheerful service in the council for the past year. Awards were given out, great food was eaten, and everyone had a good time!!!
