English at the Alley Theatre opens tonight.
Playing Elham has been a dream 💙
This team. These artists. This process. This script (as always, thank you @sanaztss )
All of it has changed me.

I dedicate this show to the innocent Iranian lives stolen by the brutality of the Islamic Republic regime.
To the brave souls protesting in the streets.
To everyone risking everything for freedom.

Elham would have boycotted her exams, too.

Tony Awards 2025—celebrating English and team. What a fever dream. It was a full circle moment to get to bring Bradley as my guest. We met doing Annie in the 5th grade. This is an ode to him, my Bradley boo ♡. Theater kids forever. “You people are not serious people.” I want to keep it unserious forever.

Damian and I fell in love on a bus in Chicago going to a comedy show. We chatted about our immigrant grandparents. On February 3rd 2018 in an Uber, we expressed to each other that we really want to be together but had doubts—we had been friends for a while and we didn’t want to ruin our friendship. Then our elder uber driver chimed in “May I say something?” “YES please do” “I think you guys should be together. You clearly love each other. You are just scared. Don’t be scared.” So we made it official. Then he played a song on his guitar for me and I knew he was it. 7 years later he is still my best friend and he still plays me songs on the guitar. Oh yeah and we got engaged. All this to say, thanks Uber! by @shadeev

I get to understudy ENGLISH on Broadway @roundaboutnyc — woah. very grateful. truly honored. dream come true.
At 5:30 am on my first day of rehearsal I woke up to the fire alarm ragin and 3 fire trucks outside and I was like okay am I about to use my first nyc *~fire escape~* ?? and then a buncha firemen came in the apt and they said all good just co levels crazy in here and I was like wow okayyy ny life let’s goooo 🔥🔥🔥 by @shadeev
