Never did I think that I'd be the first #Iranian actor, out & loud #transgender actor, on #Broadway, in a hit show, with a most amazing, gorgeous group of humans AND end up going to the 2025 @thetonyawards ..
See iconic moments in person, watch my icons share their stories and win awards ....oh my little #queeranian heart.
You folks in the pictures: YOU GIVE ME LIFE!

Who do I thank?
@heydari6832 thank you for the cheekbones, muddy.
@evan_hirsch thank you for a fairytale dress.
@sanaztss you queen: thank you for the most beautiful play.
@headlinetalentagency thank you for your love & support over the past decade.
@arideram thank you for saying yes to be my +1 for the evening.
I'm grateful I got to share that night with my #EnglishBway multiverse cohorts, from my Broadway cast to my @theoldglobe cohorts and anyone who i got to hug that night.
Kids out there, especially #transkids #queeryouth :
NEVER STOP DREAMING.
I SEE YOU!
YOU ARE MAGIC!

Group photo incoming… in the meantime, what a night ✨ @thetonyawards

English not only enriched me artistically and a launchpad to my career but also gave me community. It takes a village to make a beautiful play and many of that village wasn’t with us on Tony night. We missed you!

Announcing the cast of Wish You Were Here, by Sanaz Toossi and directed by Azar Kazemi!

I am so honored for this to be my first collaboration with Remy Bumppo, and I hope everyone is lucky enough to work with Azar Kazemi at some point. What a gift she is.

Also, do not sleep on the MENA actors in this city. I am forever grateful for such talent. Y’all rock.

Come watch my first ever play, This is My First Marriage, on 7th June, Saturday, at 11 am.

Set in Lahore, Pakistan, This is My First Marriage is a drawing room play about two middle class Pakistani families coming together to save their 30 year old children's marriage.

This play is part of the New Play Festival happening on the 6th and 7th of June and is free and open to the public.

I am supremely impressed and infinitely inspired by my wonderful collaborators. Grateful to be a witness to your craft:

“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of light, it was the season of darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to heaven, we were all going direct the other way…” Charlie Dickens and also, Us.

Love and special thanks to @roundaboutnyc @berkshiretheatregroup and @cleveplayhouse and everyone in this carousel! For the Spring of Hope/Season of Light parts❤️🌷

ENGLISH closes on Broadway this Sunday. I’m deeply grateful for everything this story offers a wildly confused world. The show will reverberate for generations. Love is strange and takes many forms. Language sometimes fails us. These artists have my whole heart.
