We are excited to announce our upcoming production of Chasing Nothing at Haus der Visionäre July 5-10 // Ticketlink in bio or at dancaeberlin.com

The multidisciplinary performance series explores how desire shapes human experience through immersive installations, movement and sound.

In the first act @shaksmon will present a new choreographic work. He has danced with the Zurich Ballet and Staatsballett Berlin, performing works by Willam Forsythe, Jiří Kylián, and Sharon Eyal amongst others. He was nominated multiple times as Dancer of the Year and Choreographer of the Year, with praise from The New York Times and Dance Europe.

New trailer „In my room“ (2022)

„People are made in such a way that they need each other. But they haven’t learned how to be together.“

In January 1972, German director R.W. Fassbinder shot The Bitter Tears of Petra von Kant in just ten days — a radical film about power structures and the pressing question: How can and do we want to live together?

Fifty years later, Shaked Heller and I developed a choreography of nightmarish depth that not only addresses human dynamics, but also reflects on the interrelationship between people and space.

In a duet of oppressive closeness, prisoner and captor face each other within an arena of blankets. Exposed to the inevitability of their encounter, the audience observes a fight for power, closeness, and trust.
