@embracingourdifferences annual luncheon was everything I didn't know I needed. Gathering with almost 600 other like-minded folks who believes in compassion, respect, and kindness was a powerful reminder of what it means to love. So grateful to be able to volunteer at EOD, reading to schools and encouraging high schoolers. All👏the👏feels👏 taken in Embracing Our Differences by @shalainemac

I'm in exercise clothes almost every day, it's a treat for me to dress up! Here's a post about a way (most efficient for me) to sort laundry. 😂

I separate my clothes as they go in the laundry basket by where they're stored; I don't believe segregation by color!

Here's my tip 1: Seems basic, but try to have clothes you can wash together. I try to avoid any everyday clothes that'll bleed.

Tip 2: Wash everyone's clothes separately. For the most part, we all do our own laundry.

Tip 3: Wash clothes based on where they're stored to minimize sorting time and sorting space.

My laundry baskets are for dark for closets 1, light for 2 (plus towels).

Tip 4: Use drawers/bins when possible.

Bonus tip: set an automation(NFC -hotel key card)/watch for a timer to remind you when your laundry is done.

After my load is done, I dump It on my bed. I hang anything that needs to be hung right away in hopes it won't need to be ironed. Everything else is sort into 4 piles by drawers. Then I take that pile and put it straight into that drawer. Tada! All done!

Closet 1 for me is closest to the door. It has different hanging tops but most importantly, gym clothes I wear everyday and jackets/sweaters within easy grab to run out because I'm usually running late to teach class. 🤣

Closet 2 has my undergarments + bottoms like skirts & pants.

For inquiring minds, closet 3 is accessories and has pull outs for jewelry, belts, scarves and a mirror.
4 purses & bags.
5 spare comforter, hand luggage & travel items.

Sorry (not sorry) that I'm not a perfectly pressed and super regimented person where my underwear is ironed (or anything is ironed). Hope something here inspired or sparked an idea for you!

Prior to my mid-40s, everyone said I was the nicest, most accommodating person. My mental and physical health suffered.

Still building myself back from multiple hypertensive crises, stabbing headaches, arrhythmia, chest pains, insomnia, autoimmune issues.

I always try to start with kindness. Nowadays in looking at my mid 50s, don't be surprised when people tend to get back the energy they put out.

Can't tell you what to do, but I'm valuing aligning my inner and outer selves over making everyone comfortable.

May they have the day they deserve. 👏

Aqua Zumba adaptation to Bopbopdrop choreo by @princepaltuob & @madellepaltuob Stretching hip flexors, (hams), spine, wrists. Working lower abs.
If standing and don't want to show tucks/shoots: 4 single knee lifts & same side kick, then repeat other leg.

Throwback to Saturday at #zincon2025
The morning started off with a bang at Beto's Global Experience, it was great! Even better since I did it with @suzyzg13. 🫶 So many memories from our Fitness Edge classes from 2011 and on! 💞Got my annual photo with AP while working at the @afaa_certified @nasmfitness booth! Also ran into @suzelle.snowden, @maxpizzolante and some past @afaa_certified participants.

Last Friday at ZINCon started with 2024 Zumba® Rising Presenter MC which was 🔥🔥🔥. @maileeeekap was not only a beautiful dancer but fierce & charismatic. Surprise guest Stitch (@zjmauricio)😂💀! Got to dance onstage with the roomies. 🫶

Saw people I haven't seen since last ZINCon, met new friends and a whole group of ZINs from Sarasota?!
Final class of the day was 7-9pm, Asia MC was also 🔥🔥🔥! Told myself to take it easy...but couldn't resist. 💃🏻

First ever ZINCon Karaoke was from 9-1 am! Got to hug & hang with @mrslogreados which I hadn't been able to do in a while. Late night leftover Mediterranean at the Zumba music labs. @onekemo recommends the rice! 😂
